Corona's and then running. (barf)

We have an annual event here, I think tied to raising funds for cancer, that starts at State campus, run downtown to Krispy Kreme, chow through a dozen glazed donuts, and run back to campus.

I've often thought the dozen glazed donuts part of it would be okay.

I've often thought that after all that sugar you could FLY back to campus.

Do Yankees have Krispy Kreme? Or along with Cheeriwine is that at least one perfect Southern thing we've kept for ouselves?

Yeah, they've got Krispy Kreme all over the north . . . however, i don't know about "perfect." It's lard and confectioner's sugar, Bubba . . . sheesh.

Cherriwine is great, but i've never seen that anywhere except Carolina.

Like a dog that smells the presence of a nearby squirrel, yesterday afternoon, I sensed a great unknown added to the city's presence. Little did I know it was the addition of Jespah into the borders of New York City.

@sozobe,
It's yesterday now.

I mean, it's today now, but the day you ask about is now yesterday.

Well, I lounged about in the am...then met Joe and Thomas and thomas' very delightful parents for lunch at the frying pan......then I wandered about in art galleries in Chelsea and visited the west village...then trundled up to a most amazing cinema complex to see the film about the Facebook guy with Tsar.

I am slowly improving in the pain department but generally rawther subdued and bleh feeling, but enjoying myself anyway!!!!

With these folk who couldn't?

@dlowan,
A RC . . . ya gotta say it right. There is a brand of cola, which is actually of a good quality (for those who like such things), Royal Crown Cola. It is "the inexpensive alternative" and is also quite popular in the South.

Country boy goes into a store in North Georgia and says:

"I'd like a RC an' a Moonpie.

(Store clerk, laughing) You must be from Alabama.

Now wait a minute, 'spose i ast you for some spaghetti, would you ast was i a Eye-talian?

I dunno, it ain't never come up.

Well, 'spose i ast you for some Polish sausage and some sourkraut, would you ast was i a Dutchman?

I dunno, it ain't never come up.

Well then how come when i ast you for a RC an' a Moonpie, you say i must be from Alabama ? ! ? ! ?

Well, to start with, this is a hardware store.

(Folks in Georgia make jokes about how stupid the people from the Alabama hill country are.)
