Them sands were once nuclear test sites.

@OmSigDAVID,
I'm getting a car at the airport ... but since my further plans are already fixed (besides the other days in NM), I can't.

What? Walter's coming to the US, and he's bypassing us again?

We really should have tried to co-ordinate a little better - Deb's going to some of the same places I'm going to. But I don't leave for 2 weeks! Sad

@cicerone imposter,
Okay then, miles of brilliantly radiant, white beaches.

That photo had the Adelaide airport in the distance, and the city and shoreline. I shoulda shown the airport in closeup, but wanted to riff on waving from the beach.

@ossobuco,
Ooops - hit report rather than reply!

You know me Osso - all is rather low key - bit of an amble around, visit some friends, look at some things, go on a train. Nothing spectacular. I understand Scotland is very beautiful.

@margo,
Yes, but your trip and your takes on it interest me. Not kidding.

Natter, natter.

@Walter Hinteler,
You'd better make sure I'm here, because I'm planning on a few trips myself, and I want to reserve those dates you'll be in our area.

The only trip I have planned for 2011 is in January; a Caribbean cruise. I'm looking at brochures now to plan more trips for next year.

@dlowan,

on to Paris for a few days, then Berlin, then back to friends...then I fly off for NYC and my friend goes home.

Leonard Cohen had it backward: First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin.

Whatever the intenerary, it all sounds wonderful.

@roger,
Oh my gosh, Deb, is it feasible that you could contact Lord Ellpus? What a treat that would be!
