Yeah...I'll likely be too tired to notice it.

And I'll be in a cab.

My body doesn't know it yet. It's so tight it's kind of twanging!

@dlowan,
Yay! Relax relax.

Plans here continue but there some possibly-surmountable obstacles are racking up. Timing is bad re: some events that weekend -- annoying but not a huge deal. The bigger deal is that the cousin I wanted to visit is in the hospital. Sad She'll be OK, knock on wood (it's serious but if all goes well not super-serious), but she is unlikely to be recovered to the point of having visitors by October. I may be able to stay with other cousins north of Philly and get into the city by train. I may bite the bullet and stay at a hotel or something in NYC.

Some other more general stuff is kind of conspiring against me, but I'll keep trying to make this happen.

Well, is that it?
Aren't you going to say anything else, Deb?
Like how excited you are & stuff like that?
Give us the details! Smile

@msolga,
I don't think I am excited yet.

Work was so awful last week, and I now have the sense of so much to do, I am twangy like a tight guitar string!

@dlowan,
Yes, I can understand that. All those ends you must have had to tie up before you could leave work! (Probably would've been far easier to stay & do the work yourself! Neutral )
And I guess you're rather anxious about Miranda, too? (She'll be fine.)
But I hope you get the opportunity to rest, a little at least, before you head off, Deb.

So, OK, I'll be excited for you! Very Happy

A thought: you're not having someone stay at your place while you're away are you? Which means cleaning the place, on top of everything else! Last thing you need!

Nothing like an overly tight guitar string, kid.

Is it too soon to say bon voyage? Hasta la vista. Can't wait for this one.

I'm remembering all the pretravel activity. I came to hate traveling--although I always liked being someplace new. Can't have one without the other.

Be well.
