@Walter Hinteler,
I didn't say I thought either would win... but yes... fast cars and whatnot.

@Walter Hinteler,
I've seen the 1966 match - in England - but this was undoubtedly .... a goal, TOO.

"We" weren't that much better, perhaps only one goal. Or two. Wink (But you do know that football is a game with 22 players, a ball and Germany wins, don't you?)

I just want to add that the missus and I have seen most of the players a couple of months ago, before they became World Champions .... of the U-21. (And as an anecdotal feature: both Boateng brothers were playing for Germany - the other is now in the Ghana team.)

Oh, my. That was a dreadful England showing.
Pending verification from Pancho, it looks like Walter gets 4 points thanks to Podolski; Pancho and Calamity Jane get 3 from Klose; Osso 2 (Klose); and Failure 1 (Podolski).

Would have posted earlier, but lost a lot of time looking for a post in which Spendius said that the World Cup starts to get interesting only in the quarterfinals and I answered that, in that case, it starts to get interesting when England is eliminated.

As said before, English fans are delusional.

@fbaezer,
You also said that the World Cup takes otherwise rational Germans and turns them into irrational people: English fans.

In that case... Cool

You can't learn this kind of English in schools.

Hopefully you post soon, you know because I'd like to see the updates soon and for no other reason whatsoever.

Well, I've thought that with the new filters here ... it's actually XX-rated! (After 40 years some change.)

@Walter Hinteler,
Congrats Gertmany: happy days for (moustache-less) Walter and CJ (and ehbeth perhaps?). England were abject and were lucky to lose by only three - could have been five or six.

Now - GO MEXICO!!

Just now we can watch the last Italian in South Africa, referee Rosetti. (I could imagine that the second but last, Capello, is already on his way back to Rome Wink )
