Great article to me, as in somewhat typical of the hyperbolic stuff I used to read in the LA Times as a teen, but the writing may be hyperbolic for good reasons.. interesting man with a lot of ability (apparently).

I figure our world football following a2kers have opinions on this fellow that I've not heard of before. Girl needs a reason to follow this stuff, you know.

@ossobuco,
Balotelli could be a great player - if he showed more team spirit, had more discipline ...

@Walter Hinteler,
I had not heard of Manchester City before, so I'm way out in left field as far as following all this. Now, though, my interest is sparked.

What? Never heard of MCFC? I've been to places where you could practically get lynched for saying that, or at least made to to buy the hearer a beer.

@contrex,
Well, listen, I'm a soccer/football dummy. I did participate in one of Fbaezer's world cup threads once upon a time. Have favored, up to now, Lionel Messi.

I've just added futbol to my sports bookmarks.. I've much to learn.

I just happen to possess two, count'em, two Juventus scarves, a present from a friend in my italian class years ago. They're about four feet long and rather woolly. So, I'm starting to follow them, and their new coach, former player Conte. Thing is, Fbaezer led me to believe that Juventus was a poor choice for me to root for (this was a long time ago, but I think it was something about the ownership).

Stay tuned to "as the dummy learns".
