Among other things, this thread was started to share resources. So I thought I'd post a few videos that have helped me frame and express my on thoughts about the issue.
The first two come from a Richard Dawkins's of his God Delusion and the discussion after it. There's quite a few of them on the internet; what's special about this one is that he gave it at the Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. As it happens, Lynchburg is also the home town of Jerry Falwell's Liberty University. (Falwell intends it to be a fount of Christian-Right / Creationist / Republican leaders. We'll see how that turns out.) Although Farmerman may disagree, I consider Dawkins's conduct in this event an example worth emulating. He makes perfectly clear what he thinks and stands his ground in the Q&A, while remaining courteous and constructive. So without further ado ...

I'd not be surprised, indeed I think that is part of the fun . I nursed defense along myself for years. Then there was Merton. who pushed me back into it for a while.
