@Leadfoot,
No, because Hitler was one of history's supreme idiots. For example, he concluded an alliance with Japan. In April, 1941, Japan and the Soviet Union signed a non-aggression pact. When that idiot Hitler invaded the Soviet Union, the Soviets were able to bring troops which had been fighting the Japanese to help in the defense of Moscow.
After the Japanese attack on Hawaii, the jackass in Berlin declared war on the United States. In a long list of truly stupid ideas, this was one of the most stupid. Other examples of Hitler's "brilliance" include holding back his armored units after the Normandy invasion, because the Brits had successfully convinced the German "intelligence" services that a cross-Channel invasion into the strongest German defenses was immanent. That was, of course, just what Hitler wanted to believe. The Messerschmidt jet was another example. The first prototype flew in the spring of 1943. Hitler wanted a bomber, but the prototype could not have carried the bomb load. So the jet fighter was not put into production until late 1944, which was a damned good thing for the American daylight bombing raids. After five years of war, Hitler had not learned that his bombing campaigns against England had been a complete failure, or would not admit it.
No, with that clown in charge, they didn't have a chance. Even with an intelligent and capable leader, they were doomed. The Soviets were coming sooner or later, and that doomed Germany.
