@layman,
There is lots that I agree with Fresco on, Layman...but only in the "possibility."

Fresco tends to make his proclamations seem like divine revelation.

Hey...to each his own.

He and JL may be totally right in their guesses. But that is something we don't know.

I thought too but you came here being the little weasel you are just to provoke me again.

You are a vicious little fiend.

Stop pretending otherwise.

Calm down, Timur. You really have to gain control if you intend to last long in this thing.

Well, at least he does have scripture to back him up, eh? Since he is a polytheist, he has many sources of divine proclamations--Wittgenstein, Rorty, Maturana, and Hegel, are a few. Too bad he doesn't really understand them, though.

Ah, you oughta get yourself under control...just because it is the adult thing to do.

Ohhh...wait a minute...now I see!

By the way...I am not a liar.

And..."unprincipled verbosity" is beautiful. I like it.

You have lived till your advanced age without even comprehending what to be an adult means.

You cannot see anything, you've got to be blind to anything human or ethical.

Yes, you are, you've been lying all the way through this "conflict".

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but your blindness can hardly discern the nuances that some words convey.

I'll show you some more as you are intended in displaying your vicious manners.

@layman,
I'm surprised that self proclaimed scientists like the Atheists here arent clever enough to realise their little slogans are just as stupid and puerile as the Theists they attack . They dont realise they will never know God because the live mostly in the logic part of their brain whilst others live in the emotional part .

They ignore any rights others may have to an opinion, especially if that opinion is not the latest fad thinking . These Atheists do a very good job of running with the crowd and should be seen as very gullible and easily led, something they usually attribute to the opposing camp .

@Ionus,
As a matter of interest what "slogans" ?

And please note that at least one atheist here (me) has discounted "logicality" as a viable basis for atheism. I have argued that socially acquired theism is a psychological need for many, which history shows has potentially pernicious social consequences. That perniciousness of religion (like that of nationalism) is a function of it being a cognitive adjunct to the tribalism we have in common with other primates. Atheists, being aware of such perniciousness, tend to resist it. And do not make the mistake of including the "atheism" of totalitarian despots in you arguments. Such systems function exactly like a theocracies.

What arguments? For or against what? What's the difference?

Old Tommy Jefferson worked hard to develop his own special brand of theism, eh, Ionus?

Quote:
“I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever, in religion, in philosophy, in politics or in anything else. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to Heaven but with a party, I would not go there at all.” (Thomas Jefferson)

@timur,
You still are unable to get your insults up to the level of a three year old. Yup...they are still at the level of an out-of-control two year old throwing a tantrum.

And you still cannot give a specific reason for why YOU are throwing this childish tantrum.

But you remain one of the most entertaining people in A2K. I thank you for that.

I think he would be shocked to see so much partisanship in our modern times . I think he would be wondering why we aren't more individual .
