@panzade,
I don't read the posts of the original author--i haven't done for years, so i had to do some backtracking to figure out what you were on about.

@spendius,
Sexual rights are evidently part of the atheist platform. Consensual Sadien fantasies included.

Oh for pity's sake . . . there's no such thing as an atheist agenda. There are no meetings, no membership dues, we don't have conventions . . . sheesh . . .

@Setanta,
Master. Please forgive the intrusion of a humble troll.
But, perhaps it would be appropriate to hunt down and flay the reprobate who tagged this as a religion thread.

@edgarblythe,
Which is why I said in my message of March 7.....I just thought that being that he wants to discuss Christianity that maybe the Atheism thread wasn't the place for it.

Maybe you missed that.

Ok so what should we discuss on an atheist thread?

Maybe I did. I don't recall. No harm, no foul. Or fowl, for that matter.

Of course, you do realize, don't you, that my misspelling was deliberate? I was simply fulfilling my role as a third-rate Internet clown, hoping to make someone laugh; and much to my pleasure I succeeded! In other words, you fell for it! (I'm so glad I changed my mind and deleted the bird picture before I submitted my post!) Mr. Green

Setanta wrote:

So you jackasses will continue to trash the thread, right?

No, you can rest assured that I at least will not trash this thread. Smile That is not something I had planned to do, anyway. If the other two clowns -- namely, coldjoint and Spendius -- had not showed up and if Wilso had not given me occasion to engage in serious conversation, I would not have posted at all. Notice I have not said a word about atheism per se in the few posts that I have submitted in this thread. Neither pro nor con. So, my conscience is clear.

With all that now said, I bid you fond adieu and wish you the best. I shall even attempt (at least) to resist the temptation to return to this thread to check upon any possible reaction my post may receive -- negative or positive. So, don't worry, be happy! I be gone! Smile

I object to being called a clown. Although I will get over it. Setanta is exactly what I called him for which I got two weeks off.
And I reported him for much worse name calling and nothing happened. This forum is biased and Setanta is a special kind of ......

@coldjoint,
(Oh, no! I yielded to temptation! Embarrassed Due to ever-present human weakness, I'm going back on my word! Sad )

Please don't take me seriously. Smile Peace (as the hippies would say)! No insult was intended. It was all in good, clean fun! Notice I called myself a clown. It's no big deal.

You were disciplined for telling off another member? But this goes on all the time. There's also a lot of name-calling.

coldjoint wrote:

I had always assumed that there was no ideological bias in the way the forum is run (as opposed to which mindset is to be found among the majority of the members), but I'm not privy to enough information to be able to make such a judgment.

A special kind of what?

Uh, I'm not staying around to wait for the answer. Especially the reaction to your answer! I must depart the premises before the excrement comes into contact with the whirling blades of one of those familiar electrical devices.

Besides, it's past my bedtime. I go now.

@Olivier5,
Since they don't have any religious beliefs to discuss, then, why not discuss why it is that non believers are so negative to those that disagree with them, and use so much foul language in their responses to others. Some that has been printed here, I have never heard before, and to the extent that it is being used here is truly shameful.

It gives a very negative impression of Atheists, and some Christians, with use of such language others will not take what they say seriously. Maybe that is a good thing.

Yes, I think all Christians are like RF. Why say some Christians, but not some atheists? Check your head.

Physics, biology, astrophysics, chemistry, philosophy, history, the origins of the universe (don't expect anything of intelligence on any such subject from me). What we shouldn't have to deal with or discuss is the type of putrid swill that spews constantly from the likes of Romeo. And if you don't like profanity, stop reading now, because because that gangrenous, pus sucking **** is the most worthless waste of skin and oxygen I've ever had the misfortune to encounter, and the fact that his embryo didn't spontaneously abort in the womb is all the proof any sane person should ever need that there's no external supernatural force for good on the universe.

@Olivier5,
I had a wonderfully detailed response to this, before A2K pulled it's usual log-in bullshit. I'm not going to attempt to recreate it. Basically, the idea is to discuss the experience of being an atheist, and ideas which relate to being an atheist. Atheists are not motivated by a common set of beliefs. The only thing which unites them is what they don't believe.
