Speaking of Sagan and Dawkins, they've both been married 3 times, I wonder why their first two wives ditched 'em?..Smile
I feel sorry for Dawks wives, the conversation must go something like this when they're in bed together-

WIFE- "Oh Dicky darling, talk sexy to me!"
DAWKS- "A uniflagellar sperm cell that is motile is referred to as a spermatozoon, whereas a non-motile sperm cell is referred to as a spermatium. Sperm cells cannot divide and have a limited life span, but after fusion with egg cells during fertilization, a new organism begins developing, starting as a totipotent zygote. The human sperm cell is haploid, so that its 23 chromosomes can join the 23 chromosomes of the female egg to form a diploid cell. In mammals, sperm develops in the testicles and is released from the penis"
WIFE- "Oh shut the f*** up!!!"

And with Sagan-
WIFE-"Oh Carl, I'm tired and want to sleep"
SAGAN- "Not yet sweetheart, I have billions upon billions of sperm for you!"
"WIFE- "F*** you!!"

@neologist,
Quote:
For when people of the nations, who do not have law, do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts. . . (Romans 2: 14,15)
It is part of the reason behind my belief that we have an inborn conscience.

This inborn conscience is why people throughout the world and across cultures don't do anything outside of their houses on Saturday or eat bacon.

Max, for f*ck's sake . . . don't feed the trolls! There are a myriad of other threads where you can go argue religious stupidity.

Old Russia under atheism was a shithole-
"Our program necessarily includes the propaganda of atheism”-Lenin

I've just read Karlo Stajner's book '7000 Days in Siberia', Stalins secret police knocked his door gone midnight and arrested him on a trumped up charge in 1934 and it was 20 years before he saw his wife again.
Like literally millions of other innocent civilians he was sent to the gulags because Stalin needed slave labourers to work in the far off Siberian mines, lumber yards and factories.
On his release Stajner soon returned to his native Austria and sums it up in the last sentence of the book- "Now I had the feeling of escaping as if by a miracle from a plague-infested land"

Guys, guys, don't forget that A2K is read not just by the relatively small percentage of members but is also read by far greater numbers of non-members all over internet-land, so I'm also posting for THEM..Smile
They flock here in droves because the word is out "Romeo's at A2K, let's go there as spectators to enjoy watching him in action!"

@panzade,
Well, i don't want to be a pain, but these creeps are trashing the thread, and if we talk to them or about them, we are enabling their trolling. That is all. Please carry on.

@maxdancona,
Well max, I haven't seen any defenders of religion resorting to simply asserting that atheists are schmucks or trolls and other silly words of an even more intemperate nature.

That should tell you something about what we get if atheists win the argument. Short fuses and power from assertions.

Nobody would be safe including atheists.

When one knows how religion controls the masses (pun intended) such assertions are, to say the least, clownesque..

With all due respect Max, what Set is trying to tell you is that this isn't a religion thread. Capice?

There were plenty of atheists who went to the Gulag and the cellars of the Black Lubianka. Dissident atheists will be schmucks and trolls in their turn. You needn't worry about that. And there will be plenty of dissidence once Christians are got out of the way. Until it sets as rigid as the crust of a cow-pat after a heatwave.

Only running out of money can do something about it then.

There must be a hundred threads arguing religion, on a2k. Littlek started this one for atheists to get together. So far, no conversation by atheists has been allowed to conclude before the trolls set in.

@edgarblythe,
I'm an atheist ed and I can't see what the problem you lot are whining about.

Get ******* on with it eh? Tell us what you're going to do for us. What joys we might look forward to if you win the argument.

450 atheists in the House, the others being schmucks and trolls, and 95 in the Senate. That would be good fun I should think.

Having schmucks and trolls running the show is obviously an evolutionary cliff edge.

The only way a troll sets in is if some dummkopf engages them and even worse; quotes them
