@Wilso,
A person can be a political conservative or right winger without any belief in God. The atheist Ayn Rand was a prime example. Coldjoint seems to have no allegiance to any particular religion. He has said he's not a Christian.
The question of whether someone is a Christian or not depends upon one's own definition of "Christian." There are a multiplicity of religious beliefs that many people call "Christianity."
My own point of view? I consider myself to be a Christian who cannot identify with either conservatism or liberalism. I'm adamantly opposed to those who would set up a theocracy in this country. I don't believe in persecuting people. For most of my life I have had plenty of shortcomings of my own to cause me to be empathetic toward others and not look down on them (except for those who victimize others). I feel like an oddball at times because I don't let others do my thinking for me.
I shouldn't say any more than this because, like I said, this thread belongs to others.
Gotta go to bed now.
Edit: Excuse me, Wilso, for changing my mind. I just thought of this. Here's an interesting comment by the late Barry Goldwater -- who, as you probably know, was one of the leading conservative politicians in this country. (I'm not a Goldwater fan. I'm just pointing this out to you.)
