@tsarstepan,
I had a teacher/later colleague who lived on a houseboat... where, sausalito, I think. Those houseboats got to be sort of famous, back in the day.
Not for me, but I can imagine owning one and enjoying it.

I've spent some of my last decades deriding rvs, which have similar attributes to houseboats in a way.. and found out, since I accepted a few days' ride in one, that I don't hate them as much as I thought I did. (Or maybe I do, much to resolve.)

I do like the whole idea of living lightly on land, and I like mobility as a concept.

@tsarstepan,
Corgis love love love going to work. Gives them a job 24/7 or thereabouts. They will position themselves, or at least mine did, relative to protecting the group from wolves. They do well in loosey goosey places like design studios.

I don't know about the powderpuff corgis with tiny noses that are bred in lately. Ranchy corgis are good. Might be too big and strong though.

@ossobuco,
Too bad I blew my wish on the ring. I'd so much rather have a dog.

So, no one else desiring that elusive something?

Are we done?

I hope not.

@msolga,
Owning google is pretty elusive..

and for some of us, owning a dog is.

What are you after, MsO? Treasures of the Sierra?

@ossobuco,
Now I just need a small business loan and a theater to renovate and some connections with the film distributing companies. Neutral Neutral

@ossobuco,
Maybe I could disguise the corgi and sneak him onto the subway?

@tsarstepan,
I wonder if the old Fox Venice building is still there.. last seen as some kind of swap meet.
...it's where I was frankly ravished with film after film, at least three days a week two movies at a time, for years, for $1.50 entry fee.

Ok, not every week, but often.

OK, here's mine. Le Cobusier's chaise longue. The original, from the Bauhaus.

Why? Well the design is perfect & it looks mightily comfortable.
It would be the only piece of furniture in a perfectly-sized room ... not another thing in there, apart from a well chosen plant, perhaps. The room would have no other distracting features, would be painted a neutral off-white colour & have polished floorboards. A quiet place, lit by sunlight, for thinking, reading & meditation ... Perfect! Smile

I'd taken a lot of neighborhood photos, but never of that, then.

Soraya vases I collect.
They come from Britain, so I have to wait until one comes up on Ebay or thru the web sites.

I am kind of getting the idea that you and Harry may be parted.

If so, that must have been hard.
