@reasoning logic,
Tin Pan Alley at its finest, the golden Vocals of Johnny Mathis and a harpist? That is a hit no doubt! Johnny Mathis could have sung the phone book and it would still have sounded beautiful. Smile

Island in the Desert

Deep in the heart of a vast and lonely desert
There stands an island, island of my soul
Far from the reaches of a world who likes to gather
In their countries and their cities and their homes

Nothing to do but look out across the badlands
Untouched by companionship
The island in the desert, the sun up in the sky
The loner who never learned to fly

Island in the desert oh island in the desert
What sets you so far apart and far between
Island in the desert oh island in the desert
Is there something or nothing you have seen

Somewhere in a book on a page where life is written
A tear shall fall from another's heart
For the memory, a prodigy, an unsung song, a love
So torn apart

Island in the desert oh island in the desert
What sets you so far apart and far between
Island in the desert oh island in the desert
Is there something or nothing you have seen

I wrote this in my early to mid 20's
I think I have posted this here on a2k before
So this if for those who did not see it the first time.
I just thought of it again and figured it might fit in this thread at this time.

I have a hard time seeing this with anyone much less with you. I hope that I am making sense because I do realize that I may not.

The Great Red Spot is a persistent storm on Jupiter that is estimated to be 200 to 300 years old and 40,000 kilometers wide. To put this in perspective, 3 planets the size of Earth could fit inside the Great Red Spot.

I have a math/geometry question.

What circumstance would you lose more area... Fitting a circle into a square or fitting square into a circle? Is there an equation to represent that difference in lost area?
