@Buttermilk,
Quote:
"Wigger" which means "white nigger" is an offensive term so while you apologized, that is actually an indirect racist term

I'm sorry you were offended...this is my second apology...but in the night clubs I play in it's not considered offensive, it's accepted as the description of white kids trying to be cool like their black brothers and sisters....and failing miserably.

@Buttermilk,
Good grief. How many apologies do you require?

@void123,
Go screw yourself void.
You've been a nuisance since you arrived last week.
All rudeness and smart-ass teenager remarks.
You are void of anything passing as personality.
You're on ignore and I'm sure there's fifty other people that have done the same.

Saw a new Coors product and tried it.
I was feeling in an history mood and was wondering what the beer tasted like before Prohibition.

Essentially, any beer purporting to be a "pre-Prohibition lager" is simply what a current traditional German lager still is. Batch 19 is supposedly based on a recipe found in the Coors brewing archives.

Recommended at 40 degrees. It had a sweet caramel aftertaste and a flowery aroma. Not much head but definitely a thirst quencher on a hot Summer day.

Sounds heavy - almost like a winter beer with that caramel aftertaste. I am all over light beers though....and it is a food thing...love beer with food. Needs to go with what I am eating though...

@mismi,
Yeah mismi. Not a food beer but not as heavy as I first imagined.

@mismi,
I've not tried it, but that brewery is just a few miles north of me off the Carefree Highway. I seem to recall having a chili beer before, but that was a very long time ago, and I don't really remember the name of the brew, or whether it was any good. The concept kinda reminds me of that Tequiza crap from Budweiser.

@Ticomaya,
I can't quite imagine what it would taste like, Tico....I picked it up - looked at it and put it back. If anyone has tried it let me know. Very Happy

I never have tried Tequiza. Now I have tried Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus and I like it a lot - but my husband said that's girly beer. Which may be true. But I don't care. It's great at the beach.

I bet my husband would like it. He does so much better than me at recognizing flavors and such in beer. I just know if I like it or not. Razz

I don't think of my taste sensibility as being too refined but there are some beers I can taste the coffee and/or chocolate notes. Still tend to find them too bitter so these flavors aren't too appreciated as making the beer drinkable.

I envy you Tsar and anyone else capable of detecting specific fractions of The Brew such as those and caramel, fruity, spicy, etc

https://www.google.ca/#q=list+flavor+fractions+of+beer

I really envy my sons in this respect. Often during a tasting-blind sitting they can ID a brew at first sip, very rare and noteworthy

I guess beer tasting is a hobby in and of itself...just like wine tasting. But I just drink because I enjoy. If it is too heavy or bitter - or thick....well ew. But I love good food so I generally think what I drink should not mask the food but complement it. I don't drink just to drink in other words. Well...that's not necessarily true. When I am on the beach - that cooler is there for a reason and it ain't to complement my food. Wink
