look: 3.5 | smell: 3 | taste: 2 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 2

A: Lovely label. Color of beer is dark yellow and looks ok to me.
S: Smells alright, nothing special. A bit tangy.
T: Very bitter. Strong bitter aftertaste. This beer is not enjoyable to drink.
M: Sharp, lots of carbonation.
O: Overall I did not enjoy this beer. It is way over hyped. I would not buy this beer on purpose.

But the label is one of the better ones!

@Ragman,
Here's a scoring from the Greater Southwest Beer-Tasting Society

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, 5.4/4.7; 5.0/5.4; 7.6/6.0; 6.4/3.5; 6.2/5.7/5.0; 6.9/7.3; 5.5/5.4; 3.9/6.8; 5.6/4.0; 5.6/7.7; 8.4/7.8; 3.9/5.6; 5.1/5.8; 6.7/4.9; 5.3/5.0; 6.6/6.2

That's on a scale where 3.0 is satisfactory; 5.0, excellent and 10.0 impossibly great

@cicerone imposter,
That's what I find amazing.

I find SN Pale Ale pretty good, but I like Pale Ales. however, if you don't like Pale Ales, it'd be hard to warm up to it, I imagine.

What type of beer or ale is your preference? What's your fave beer or ale?

@Ragman,
I have drunk so much beer around the world, I can't possibly come close to naming my favorites. However, I can say without much doubt that I liked 99% of what I've drunk - even the beer I had in Namibia. Many in England, Germany, and most of Europe. Many in the Far East, and of coarse, in the Americas including Canada and South American countries.

Here's another "strange" thing: I love bitter taste in foods like broccoli, coffee, brussels sprouts, dark chocolate, and some wines. I choose broccoli for my veggie when there's a choice when I eat other foods like meats and fish. At home, I use mayo.

@cicerone imposter,
African beer is not too bad, Namibia has a lot of Dutch/English influence. When I was in (Moslem) Senegal everyone drank this.

It was alright, although every now and again you'd come across a bad one.

@izzythepush,
If I'm not mistaken, there was a beer with the same name as their capital. That was about 15 years ago.

@neologist,
California then needs to outsource its beer production to the great state of Washington. Not that I ever drank or remember having drunk Californian beer.

Bad as the 'w' stuff is, it's 10 times better than lite beer. At least you know what you're getting.

@neologist,
Give me Lite Beer any day!

I'd just sit back, take a sip and pretend I'm back in a 70's Disco.
