@Lordyaswas,
Yes. That certainly reminds me of my experiences with lite beer. Very Happy

Yesterday I posted this on the British thread.

And then they were 4.

Southampton defender Luke Shaw has been named in the England squad for the first time for the friendly against Denmark at Wembley next Wednesday.

That's Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez, Ricky Lambert and Luke Shaw. I think I'll have a drink.

Then I had one of these,

one of these,

a glass of this,

and I finished off the evening with one of these.

Now everything is just a bit fuzzy, I'll stick to routine today.

Arrogant bastard!

No, seriously, you need to try it. The name is Arrogant Bastard Ale, from the Stone Brewing Company.

Awesome stuff! Along with Stone IPA!!

And what about Russian River Brewing Co. who make Pliny the Younger, and Pliny the Elder, allegedly some of the best stuff there is (and which I cannot find here in AZ)?

And I've not tried it, but I hear Lagunitas beer is pretty good, also.

We need Cyclops here to talk about his California beers!

When I was in Palm Springs over Christmas I was treated to a new concept in beer tasting(new for me)
At a high-end BBQ joint(Babe's) I ordered the beer taster instead of my usual pint.
What a great idea!

Anybody else tried this with their dinner?

Not with dinner, but I did a tour of Ft. Collins, Colorado, micro-breweries a few years ago, and we ordered a "beer flight" at every stop.

Those little beers can catch up to you!

@Lordyaswas,
I'm just amazed that the one in the middle is a lager.

@izzythepush,
Porter, more like.

Apparently, to be a lager, the yeast has to 'work' on the bottom, so I was told.

Ale yeast works on the top.

most esxcellent candidate, Neo. Torpedo may rank the very highest in terms of Greater Southwest Beer-Tasting Society scoring

Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA, 8.0/7.7; 5.8/8.1; 9.0/8.3; 9.0/8.0; 6.4/8.3; 8.0/8.6; 6.2/8.8; 4.8/7.2; 7.6/8.4; 3.9/7.7; 3.4/7.2; 5.5/7.1; 7.7/8.5; 9.0/9.6; 9.4/9.3; 7.9/8.8; 9.7/8.3; 5.8/7.9; 4.5/5.9; 8.2/6.2; 7.6/8.0; 6.0/9.0; 6.0/8.0; 7.0/6.7

On our non-linear scale 3.0 is acceptable, 5.0 excellent, 10.0 virtually impossible. Apparent discrepancies among the scores only reflects the extremely subjective nature of the hobby
