@Rockhead,
Pork n saurkraut, (I used to hate it until just a few years ago). At that time I had introduced to me the wonderful combination of saurkraut and APPLESAUCE mixed together. That is really good.

OH, for all the kids doen under , gere are some pictures of local parks that we have in Lancaster County Pa. Apparently this website has been around for a while , I just found out about it when someone sent me a link last month
http://www.lyhr.org/Destinations.aspx?theme=1

We have these little parks and natural vistas and glades that have been dedicated to the county park system . Most of these little places surround the mighty Susquehanna River drainage basin.

@farmerman,
Hey, farmer

Sorry to hear of the somber associations, but all the rest sounds very good.

(Yesterday I heard of a very untimely death while reading online news. One of my former students. A musician here. Very sad.)

Have a dobri (dobra? Laughing I dunno, one of em ..) round of new year activities with your community. And all the very best to you & yours for the coming year.

@the prince,
Well, it was just average, 2009, until the prince responded again.

(Staying at home, making good resolutions .... that will keep me busy.)

@Walter Hinteler,
Walter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How are ya ??????

I am also making lots of resolution this evening - give up smoking (again - I was good for 9 months and started again in october), lose weight (have put on immense amounts in 2009), go out less (on an average I have been going out 4 times a week), work more (just been doing 14 hr days, not enough Wink ) and visit a new country (hopefully in South America), buy less clothes (after all, how many jeans/suits/shirts can a man have/need).....

I will so need a lot of support :p

Just finished watching the Sydney celebrations. It reminded me of my mother ringing in the millenium around the world in 2000. It was one of the highlights of her life. She watched all the coverage - all day long - and stayed up to midnight herself for the first time in many, many years.

Dinner early then music later at a club for us.

Happy, happy new year to all of A2K.

May 2010 be a happy and healthy year for each of you.

Well, husband will be playing in the band, as usual, this New Year's Eve. I won't go, but I'll worry, as usual, about his drive home.

Echoing others' posts: Farewell 2009! And Good Riddance!

Stacy and I will most likely be babysitting our grandson, and staying home.
I wont be able to do any drinking because new years eve is a night we usually get busy on the fire dept, answering calls for vehicle accidents.

But I wish all of you a happy and prosperous new year.

It's such a beautiful day here today - blue sky, the sun is out - a sign for a good
year ahead. 2009 was good to us, and I am not presumptuous to ask for a better 2010, but if it stays the same, I am happy.

Trying on the monkey suit...making sure the cuff links and bow tie are in the pocket of the jacket. Gonna entertain the revelers tonight...the one time I don't enjoy playing.

See you guys next year
