This thread has become entirely too silly. What about the poor terrified people who want to visit the antipodes, but are terrified by all the nonsense getting poured out in this thread? Did you ever think of them? I think not . . . not a word about the state drop bear patrols sent out to protect the tourists . . . it's all very funny until someone gets hurt.

. . . at which point, it's just f*cking hilarious . . .

@Setanta,
Do you really think this thread has become an effective deterrent that scares away possible tourists?

Hmmmm. A little opportunism and a little ingenuity ... and I got a plan. Twisted Evil

Did you guys know that the cases of pigeonrat attacks on tourists of New York City have risen 400% since 2006. I believe that 1 out of every 3 attacks is fatal.

pigeonrat feasting on morsel of human lung.

These carnivorous monsters don't eat brains. The prefer the soft and chewy tissue of human lungs. Especially those humans who chain smoke 2 to 3 packs a day. Their M.O. is to crawl up the pants leg or fly up women's skirts then burrow themselves up to the lungs suppository style.

Very bloody, very painful! Mad

Sorry to redigress, Czar Steve, but I've just realized something about the simple, rustic nature of Australian food preparation.

The Koala tea of Mertze is no strained,
and (I hear) the drop bears eat their lentil brains unleavened.

@tsarstepan,
No, but it is sort of a paean to the story of a Venetian Jew...

I'd thought it more a paean to Portia.

Alas! Too many people have forgotten about the dropbear menace and become too complacent!

Right, it's all scaremongering, I bet there aren't really any funnel-web spiders lurking under toilet seats ready to sink their fangs into peoples genitals..Smile

I've been wondering where all of our A2Kers disappeared to. I'm thinking the drop bears got to them. We must find Bella Dea and learn how she escaped.

@boomerang,
a2k needs to sponsor a search and rescue party and send them to Australia (all expenses paid) to find and rescue and extricate our Australian brothers and sisters!
