If it's true, it works. At the very least, it is an unusual (I had to google the meaning) description. I suppose you mean you render a neutral, unbiased translation, regardless of whether it pleases your customer, or not?

Being secluded and delivering a "translation" leads very often to be labelled as pontificating, to say the least, no matter how professional one is..
Consensus sounds like something arrived at by a committee, and "A camel is a horse designed by a committee", in which everyone has "input". Well, there I go, editorializing again.
I'm happy that my contribution, though miniscule, can be of some use, in the vast field of humankind's improvement..

Have you changed your mind toward Yanks' stuff?
Really? How come can your English be so good? I was told that French people were very proud of their mother tongue as to claim that French language is the most beautiful language on this planet. So they are too cocky to learn English very well.
Knowing another (or some other) language(s), doesn't prevent from thinking well about one's own.
I'm a well travelled person and have been in the US and other English speaking countries quite a lot of times.
However, my English fluency has improved a lot since I'm on A2K..

You can hardly tell me those things, McT.
You can certainly tell me how to use the words, but you can hardly tell me how to write them.
You mean that I could have used miniscule.
Well, I opted for:
•S: (adj) minuscule, miniscule (very small) "a minuscule kitchen"; "a minuscule amount of rain fell"
The good news is: miniscule is a variant of minuscule, as defined by American Heritage Dictionary, and has now commonly occurred in published writings.
The bad news is the variant is widely regarded as an error.
I have to admit that I have read the usage introduction of Webster about the word before posting this. I am not going to pretend that I am a linguist or a know-it-all.
