I presume that you mean something like "I wonder how it stands statistically" or "I wonder how many people like Catalan compared to the number that like French"? A thing like beauty is subjective and therefore not susceptible to strictly numerical comparisons.

"biased toward" would mean "biased for", which is the exact opposite of what you meant. "cloistral" is another of those words that no one actually uses, or even is sure of the meaning of. I suspected it was something like "cloistered" but had to look it up to be sure, never, to my knowledge, having heard it before. It is in fact "cloistered", and I'd suggest you use that, tho that's not a real common word these days either.

The simple fact that you never heard it only suggests that you never heard it.

Inferring that no one uses it, is something I highly doubt.

However, you cannot use that clause in a claustral situation..
