@realjohnboy,
this series is kinda like bobby fischer against the computer.

will Larussa outsmart himself?

if Josh Hamilton can't go, the squirrels have the advantage. and if Young stays frozen.

Kyle Lohse tonight against some guy I never heard of.

I'd probably go with the unknown guy if I was betting...

@Rockhead,

@Bambino,
ok. I confess.

I'm not watching this lame ass world series. I'm stripping paint off of an old volkswagen convertible. not because I have to, mind you, but because I cannot get excited about these teams. period.

you must be from Texas...

@Bambino,
my avatar is a rock. (my other one was a famous moose) I never claimed intelligence.

I am glad I'm not pitching in Texas tonight...

neither starter made it out of the 4th.

@Region Philbis,
That was perhaps the greatest hitting performance in World Series history - and that includes Mr. Reggie Jackson. Also this drama came at the precise time his team needed it - at a pivotal point in the series.

Sorry to the Texas baseball fans, but say goodbye Rangers! Incidentally, I'm a Red Sawx fan..so I'm no one to stow thrones.

That reminds me of the old adage: "One game doth not a Series make"

@farmerman,
Whenever I think pro sports is predictable, I watch a game like last night. Who'd ever think that LaRussa couldn't call his bullpen 2x and get the right pitcher to come in and relieve?

Here's my new motto: Never count the Rangers out!

Josh Hamilton just took Motte deep. 9-7 now.

Adrian Beltre has a chance to add to the lead. he's hitting .346 in the series.

somebody explain to me why he's not still a red sock...?
