the Royals let the Twinkies off the hook.

99 losses.

Chen threw 8 scoreless innings, though...

@Rockhead,
This was the best night of baseball I ever saw. I keep switching the dial on the tv to watch the four games that settled the play off picture and within minutes watched the Phillies knock the Braves out of the play offs and see the BoSox lose and Rays win a slot there.

It felt like watching the first weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament... and the real playoffs are two days away!

The D-backs score 6 in the bottom half of the 10th inning last night with an incredible walk-off grand slam with 2 outs, to keep pressure on the Brewers!!! A D-Backs win and Brewers loss today would give D-Backs home field advantage in the playoffs.

Oh, I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive.

Marlins have had their problems this year. Including their tarp crew. Maybe Ozzie can straighten them out.

@Rockhead,

they sure don't make 'em like steve carlton any more -- 30 CG's (out of a whopping 41 starts) in 1972...
