@Region Philbis,
I gotta admit that I am rooting for them.

(now that Barry Bighead isn't the main distraction...)

they have really good pitching, but sometimes they don't hit much.

and they play old fashioned team baseball.

Gents up 1-0 on Roy after 2.

the strategy seems to be work the count and make him wear down.

Pablo went 10 pitches, and Uribe took him to nine...

@Rockhead,

timmeh had but one bad inning (the defense didn't help, nor did the ump calling roy's foul bunt fair), and it cost him...

@Region Philbis,
turns out Roy was pitching without his groin from the second inning on.

that hadda hurt.

but I don't think he will be able to pitch again should the Phils make it past the Giants into the show...

@tsarstepan,
Thanks for the sympathies, tsar. And the cute little bear. Disappointed but not devastated. Sigh.

@realjohnboy,

yup.
they made it interesting though.

bochy brought in starter lincecum to start the 8th.
after he put the go-ahead run on base with one out, the manager had seen enough and brought in his closer,
who finished 'em off with a 5-out save...

that bengie molina is one lucky dude.
he started the season with SF, and was traded to texas in june, so he is guaranteed a world series ring no matter who wins...
