Red Sox taking a Stros coach for their coach. I don't like breaking up a set like that.

it's an unspoken rule in baseball -- when a coach starts getting interviews for managerial positions, the team does not stand in his way...

@Region Philbis,
I understand that but I don't have to like it. Sad

@edgarblythe,
FWIW he had been a Red Sox utility infielder not that long ago...perhaps 10 yrs ago.

@Ragman,
He better help the Stros win the series or they might change their mind. Smile

@edgarblythe,

an Astro 4-game sweep would be ideal... the sooner he gets up here, the better...

@edgarblythe,

Gonzalez.

not only is he not playing (he's on the DL with a back injury), but he won't be with the team, cheering them on...

It doesn't look like they're giving the All Star game winner home field advantage this year. The AL won, but they're starting in LA.

Am I the only one pulling for The Dodgers?

(I never held a grudge over them leaving Brooklyn since I was already a Yankees fan)

@Kolyo,

they did away with that, and now it's simply the team with the better record gets home-field advantage...

I never liked the Dodgers. But they are playing some excellent ball right now.

@Sturgis,
Personally, I cheer for a team that hasn’t made it to the World Series or has made it very very few times.

@Ragman,
The Astros made it once, as a National League team and now as American. That other time, I felt they were not good enough to deserve it. This time, win or lose, they belong there.

And as a Cardinals fan, I applaud your honesty and am glad we could find common ground on that controversial point.

You didn't deserve it. Wink

Maybe so.

It's Houston's time.

After all the jokes a few years ago about them being a quadruple-A team,
the world owes them.
