I totally agree with this assessment. As long as he didn't flip it at the pitcher or bonk a poor bat boy on the sidelines, it's mostly bravado induced enthusiasm and mostly harmless at that.

It was sad to me for it was the death-knell of the Mattingly era.
It's become clear with that one sad error that he doesn't belong in the managers seat.
I expect him to be gone by spring training.

The overly-huge payroll and the atmosphere of LA's accelerated pace is not a good fit for Donnie Baseball. Like to see him back in NYC (perhaps Yankees family)...or some place where he has a few years to put his imprint on a team.

Also, he's a perfectionist...on a team..that, uhhh....team was pretty flawed, to say the least. IMHO, timing was bad for any mgr with the Dodgers organization (bad divorce of the McCourts) and that ridiculous salary scenario.

Think about it...his initials are DAM.

Because obviously everyone is waiting for The Yankees to secure first place...which may not happen anytime soon Sad

Then too, has been mentioned, hockey season hasn't ended yet.
