@H2O MAN,
Quote:Responsible parents have a savings account established for children before they have them.
Really? With enough money in it to pay for cancer treatments or insulin for diabetes (which can cost over $1,ooo a month if you're not on a prescription plan)?!
Well then count me among the irresponsible. Because my husband was in school when my son was born, and if I hadn't been working for the state of New Jersey as a teacher with a primo health insurance plan - I'd have been up ****'s creek during my pregnancy and if my son had had a chronic illness.
That's bullshit H2O man - a lot of responsible parents are busting their humps to take care of their kids on little more than minimum wage.
So tell me what you would do for a child who developes diabetes whose mother waits tables all day and makes too much to qualify for medicaid, but has to use her wages for shelter and food for her family and can't afford insulin?
