@Tai Chi,
Sunday August 23rd - afternoon (got to get the Kingston gang heading east again in the a.m.).

Something and beer. I'm sorta leaning toward Indian on Gerrard unless someone has an objection. The Indian restos tend to be very quiet in the afternoons as the action there doesn't start til after 9 p.m.

@Joeblow,
oooh oooh oooh

Festival of South Asia is on that weekend!

http://www.festivalofsouthasia.com/index.html

throwing the link in so we can check for updates (nothing is there right now but the dates)

last year's tastings http://www.festivalofsouthasia.com/tastings.html
and stage schedule http://www.festivalofsouthasia.com/schedules.html

I was kinda sad that Thomas wouldn't be here til after Caribana and Taste of the Danforth ... but this is also a good option. The Diwali fest on Gerrard is awesome, so I think this looks good.

I hope I won't get hurt by an overdose of fun! This sounds betterer and betterer!

@Thomas,
You will have to intersperse the fun stuff wit lectures so that Thomas doesnt OD on festivals.

We'll put Setanta on lecture duty. I've got a pulpit in this house somewhere.

@farmerman,
Maybe we can hire a few of those Amish comedians you talked about? When was that Pennsylvania folk festival anyway -- is it already over?

i understand that bailey and cleo are willing to give up their bed (and it's a REAL bed !) for you .

That's so generous of them. Please give them a hug from me -- or, better yet, a bone!

So do I -- and this time, I won't forget my passport in the USA.

@Joeblow,
Hell no. I appreciate the Canadians summertime parade of festivals and Busker events. You guys must really save up your spunk for summertime. When we go up Fundy starting week after next, there will be a festival going from St Stephen , Manan, all the way to PArrsboro.

@farmerman,
Parrsboro. Love Parrsboro. Went camping there with the hamburgers several times as a kid.

Tranna's kind of fest-y year-round, but there are (obviously) more outdoor events during the summer. There are some good winter fests, but not all tourists can manage them.

@Tai Chi,
mmm like an actual street corner to meet on? I'll p.m. you and joeblow tonight. I'd rather not put that kinda detail on the thread itself.
