I think? And then from there, dinner when ever everyone arrives.
It's not quite going to be
that easy: The
French Roast doesn't do reservations, and doesn't seat incomplete parties. We'll need a definite time for meeting there. I suggest 7 pm. Does that work for everyone?
As for the Frying Pan, it's on the Hudson around 26th street. To get the timing right, give yourself an hour to stroll around the place and have a drink, 10 minutes to get to the subway at either Penn Station or on 23th Street and 8th Avenue, 15 minutes to wait for the subway because you'll arrive just in time to see your train leave the station, 15 minutes for the subway to go to 86th street, 5 minutes to go from the 86th street station to the restaurant. Add a general safety margin of 15 minutes, and 5 pm sounds like a good time to meet at the Frying Pan.
Assuming we can agree on these data, it seems we have two events:
- 5 pm: Frying Pan, West 26th Street and the Hudson River.
- 7 pm: French Roast, West 85th Street and Broadway.
Do we have an agreement? Going once ... going twice ...
Roberta: Shall I pick you up near your apartment at 6:30 pm? If you'd like that, I'll be happy to. Alternatively, if you prefer to go to
French Roast by yourself, I would join Shewolf and Jonathan 5 pm at the Frying Pan, come up to the Upper West Side with them, and the four of us would meet in front of
French Roast at 7 pm. It's up to you. What would you like me to do?
