@shewolfnm,
I missed that one, though we did buy chocolates on a rainy day, at the little place in the Plaza hotel back then. So.. I'll have to go back.

I know you don't leave for a couple of days, Shewolf, but I'm getting in my "Have a Great Trip" early.

@shewolfnm,
Very funny! I took my family to see the very first David Letterman show, and as we were walking out of the theater, I told my family "he's not going to last!"

If we meet not too early on Friday, I should be ok. The rest of this week is no good. We are talking about this week, aren't we?

@Roberta,
What's "not too early", Roberta? We have tentative plans for 6pm. Does that work for you?

Six is kinda early. Seven would be better. How does that work for you? Where are you planning to meet? Do I have to get downtown?

@Roberta,
I am personally flexible. The tentative plan was to meet 6pm at French Roast, a restaurant on West 85th and Broadway. If that's a close shave with your medical plans, I could pick you up at whatever hospital you're getting examined in. We could then take a taxi.

How does seven sound to the others?

@shewolfnm,
Here's some trivia on the David Letterman Show (from Wiki):

Quote:
Late Show with David Letterman is an American late-night talk show hosted by David Letterman on CBS. The show debuted on August 30, 1993, and is produced by Letterman's production company, Worldwide Pants Incorporated. The show's music director and bandleader of the house band, the CBS Orchestra, is Paul Shaffer. The head writers are brothers Justin Stangel and Eric Stangel. The announcer is Alan Kalter, who replaced Bill Wendell in 1995.

I don't think that date can be right, because our children were still in grade school.

@shewolfnm,
do NOT forget the camera battery charger

I usually take two sets of re-chargeable batteries so I can switch out part way through the day.

One shirt + pants. I think I'll lay a bet that you wear that most of your trip. NYC's mmmm windy. Gotta be cautious with dresses and skirts (if they're fullish). I learned Embarrassed .

Have you got a jacket/cardigan packed?
