but very bare bones.
If that is all someone is looking for? by all means go there.
It is on my map and I will return to it once I go back. It is cheap and is in a great location.
I'm not shy. I'll apply some pressure. Come back!! (Two exclamation points. How's that for pressure?)

@shewolfnm,
If you had asked me before your visit, "where can I get a place to sleep in Manhattan at $80 for three nights, preferably in one of the classier neighborhoods like the Upper West Side?", I wouldn't have bothered looking. I'd have instinctively typed, "you can't." Very well done!

Will use them again.. and again.. and again
Already busting my behind to make more money so I can come back

@ossobuco,
Great shots!
Do you remember the Oppenheimer and Baer family who lived in this building, too? They emmigrated from Germany and lived there from at about 1944 to 1970 (Ms Oppenheimer),

Google "New York City on a budget". Check out hotels in Brooklyn and Hoboken -it's easy to take the subway into Manhattan from either place.
This is what I did when I took my family to NY a couple of years ago. It is a very easy subway ride from Brooklyn to Manhattan.
