@ossobuco,
Dang, Osso, those videos are cute! Maybe "Ears?"

I had a dog once I named "Gur" 'cause he was a huge Rottweiler/Shepherd mix. He, let's face it, never growled, but I thought it was cute.

I also once had a cat (SO beloved) I named "Event." A friend of mine saw him running around like a nut and said, "That's not a cat, that's an Electrical Event." His first name was, of course, Electrical. I shortened "Event" to "Ventser."

Maybe just wait to see what Puppy does, then name the baby?

@ossobuco,
That new puppy video reminded me of when we brought Otis home to be rolands playmate.

roland was aghast.

hiss, hiss, hiss.

now they're inseparatable.

There's much to be said for waiting. I didn't name my dog the first week we had her. One day, as she barked impudently at the other dog, who didn't fancy her one bit, then grabbed a low hanging towel in her mouth before making for the door, it came to me. "You're a punk," I said, tugging at the towel. And in that moment her name became Punky.

I always thought "Spot" was a good name for a dog. Especially if your name is Lady Macbeth.

@mismi,
mismi wrote:

Name him "Dammit" - it's a great name for a dog...and he more than likely will suit it. AND the kids will love calling him...though your neighbors may comeplain..."COME HERE DAMMIT". "DAMMIT STOP CHEWING THAT SHOE" - you see - it's a fun name!

That's why we named our tomcat "Buster"..."HEY BUSTER, GET OUTTA THERE!"..."LISTEN HERE, BUSTER..."..."JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, BUSTER?"...a very fun name.

This morning when leaving for work, I noticed some yellow flowers had burst into bloom what with the rain we've been having.

I said to Wally, "Hey, look how good those yellow daisies are coming up!"

It made me remember these 2 dogs a neighbor had.

They were a short haired tan collie.....Yellow Daisy, and a regular Lassie type collie....Barking Woofie

Yellow Daisy and Barking Woofie.

Does it get any better than that?

@ossobuco,
Nice - thanks - the one in the second video has a tail! Some do not have tails and often times those that do, they dock (sp?) them. This is the first one I have seen with a tail.

And the winning name is....................

Koda.
This is the little brother bear from Brother Bear disney movie. I saw all the "celebrity" bear names and did a search. I sent it to my husband along with a few others and he liked it and the kids did as well. The little bear in the movie should fit the personality right - it is a bit like a schipperke - a bit troublesome, but loveable at the same time.

Thanks - we will try to get some this weekend - not sure if we will be able to make it to visit - depends on my daughter's softball schedule.
