Well, I too appreciate Osso's sight, she managed to find the bathroom and didn't pee in the sink. This alone maker the operation worthwhile.

With eye sight this good, soon you'll be ready for your next career as an air force test pilot!

@Swimpy,
Nuttin is ever perfect, or, "have you ever seen me happy?", as my old friend Bonnie would say. I get this fabulous vision - haven't been so completely happy in a long time - and then had immediate computer problems. Somehow my mac goes into a right click tharn, and/or the cursor goes crazy/I can't post/much weirdness. (Right now it's behaving, for no particular reason.) I had this kind of thing go on before my hard drive crash of about six months ago. Might or might not be the mouse (I've tried two, happens on both) or some other damned thing that will probably involve money. Oh, and the date on the "dock" is incorrect, first time I've ever seen that.

Well, I'm kidding - I'm still crazy happy about my eye being not only ok, surviving, but really good... and even computer problems can't bring me down. As I told the doc, this successful surgery affects my whole life, my attitude toward it.

Thanks to all who have commented, it means a lot.

Dys, better check that bathroom..

@ossobuco,
I've gotten in to computer tharn, very strange, but a big problem.
I suppose I'll have to check it all out. So it goes.

@ossobuco,
That's great to hear (about your eyes) - not so for your MAC. Do you have an
Apple store in ABQ? If so, take the computer there, they have usually someone
there who can help you. They do free diagnostics and twice they fixed minor
problems for my daughter's MAC , all for free.

I am so glad the operation was successful and you can see it all so clearly now Smile

@CalamityJane,
Well, now everything is fine. Even the 'h' is back. Damned gremlins.

There is a mac store here, and I suppose I should take it there before more complications develop, though it's way across town.
I took the mac to another place, much closer, two guys I like, when I had the crasheroo several months ago. I thought they were reasonable, though there was an initial fee. They've helped me identify it as the right click thing by phone, no charge, so I'm tempted to take it there.

Meantime, I like very much being able to communicate with the computer recently and hate to have it in the shop for a bunch of days. What a brat..

@Joeblow,
Good to read, Joeblow.

Tsar, a candy cane? (hope you're ok, re the hospital visit)

wearing: blue jeans, stretch tee, bronze colored long tee, my good ring (the real zircon - yes, there are real ones - with foofoo gold, from my mother, from her brother in about 1918), favorite beaten up loafers
hearing: quiet
eating: soup, soon
drinking: whisky and chocolate milk on a glass of ice
doing: thinking about tomorrow - time to tackle unloading pics from my camera
looking forward to: getting more active now that I can see, yaay.. and have better sense of balance. Time to get walking, oh, and weeding.
wanting: to cut down on my procrastination routines, which have been a mixed pleasure for a while.

@Izzie,
I was awake then, but didn't answer when I momentarily checked a2k at pre dawn. Diane didn't sleep either. And then she had to drive in the dark with slush and ice.

Well, we've had a few experiences together.
