Well, with the perfectly uncompassionate, inconsiderate, and ruthless drubbing that Jose gave my Owls yesterday, just for today, I shall call him THIS:

Damn! Smoltz was up for an easy win... it rains and he can't finish the 5th inning.

But the game has resumed and Smoltz will probably get the win.

No! His arm went cold, and Masterson relieved.

Who I didn't play but since he achieved a wonderful 22.5 era tonight, I'm glad that I didn't. Not that it mattered really as the Gushies are on a roll.

And Beltre is put on the DL list too late for me to pull him today and Sizemore is headed that way it appears.

This week see a tightening at the top and in the middle.

#1 Fbaezer will lose to RJB, but only by a couple of points. He falls to 2nd at .571;
#2 Gargamel also will lose but will pop into 1st with .573;
#3 George has a big week and, but at .557 will stay in 3rd;
#4 Jose wins easily and sticks in 4th at .545;
#5 Tico and #6 McGentrix are in a tight match. I see Tico losing and falling to 6th at .528;
#6 McGentrix will claim 5th with .528 also;
#7 Fox will remain in 7th at .494;
#8 Jespah suffers through a bad week but will hang on to 8th at .480;
#9 Alex could challenge for #8 but will stay in 9th at .474;
#10 ElStud will stumble to 12th with .457;
#11 Johnboy will move up to 10th with .470;
#12 Osso will get 11th at .470;
#13 JPinMilw will stay there with .455;
#14 MM seems to have wandered off and will pay the price, ending at .403.

As a total aside, today is an election day in Mexico. It is the equivalent of U.S. mid-term elections. Fbaezer will be covering that as part of his day job. He also has a thread going on on A2K called "Mid-term elections in Mexico - July 5."
Go PRI, I think. Pretty confusing cast of characters.

I was liking that group that is apt to only get 4%, PRD? I forget without looking at the thread. I of course know nothing. I might like Calderon to stay, but I'm ignorant of his handle on the economy, or how appropriate it would be to blame him for any failure with it. Hard to want PRI back, from here, but I easily could be wrong. Anyway, will be following that thread.

So, Johnboy went 8/14 this week which was somewhat improved over his 5/14 last week.

The Owls seem to be in molting mode again. My scrubs sitting on the bench hit like crazy while my 'good' players couldn't hit a slow softball with a tennis racket. As Jose astutely noted near the end of last week, when my best batter is Rod Barajas, I'm in really big trouble.

Well, looks like I may have a tough week ahead of me. Those hooters are a handful......oops........... I mean they are hard to handle......oops......oh well, you know what I mean. Good luck to you dear!!
