@Ticomaya,
I don't really have anybody that anybody would want to give up at this juncture, though a couple of pitchers are negotiable.

But I am hurting badly for catchers. My one really good guy is on the disabled list for at least three or four months and my No. 2, really really marginal at best, was thrown out of the game today for arguing with the umpire. And No. 3 I drafted out of desperation never gets to play.

All I can hope for is that everybody else bats 400 Smile

@Foxfyre,
I thought I just saw one C of interest, considered him, whoever it was, but I like my catchers. Sorry re name, but data flits past me re stats or situation rather fast.

@Foxfyre,
Catchers are just lousy this year, it seems. Sigh.

@jespah,
So it would seem except my guy who got hurt was really good. But.....

To add insult to injury one of the guys I had sitting on the bench today hit .333 and the other two on the bench hit over .600 Sad

@jespah,
Catchers. Ain't to many decent ones out there. I found one, owned by a mere 1% of all Fantasy players. He had a HR and 2 walks today. Go figure.

He's a middling SS, and you want him bad enough to trade an outstanding OF in Carlos Beltran, the guy you drafted in Round 2, owned in 99% of all leagues, and who is having a fine season so far? Greene, in contrast, was drafted in Round 18, and is a so-so SS, owned in only 43% of leagues.

Anyone else want to trade an elite player? I have some crappy players on my team that I'm willing to part with. Let me know.

@Ticomaya,
... And I'm curious how that trade negotiation went. McG wasn't happy with getting just Carlos Beltran for Greene -- after all, he's only hitting .400 so far this year -- and demanded you throw in another OF to sweeten the deal?

@Ticomaya,
How did I become a badguy in this?

MM offered me a trade and I accepted, done deal. Now bugger off and go fight for justice and liberty. I didn't really want Matsui, MM offered him. I expect I will be dropping him once the trade is made.

Everybody is still jockeying for position, and it is easy to see that one week's glory can quickly become the next week's ashes and vice versa. I expect we will see a lot of changes over the coming weeks. I think we can agree that the one change every would like to see is in PremiataForneriaM. That would be everyone but PremiataForneriaM of course.

It is interesting to note that JP has been improving every week and, if that cntinues, he will almost certainly break out of the bottom.

Almost a certainty since he is playing the Not-Yet-Ready-for-Prime-Time Ticomaniacs this week.

Yet another party for Premiata (and I must say that last day Bobby Seay move worked perfectly).

@realjohnboy,
So much for Sunday afternoon projections

By my calculation there could be a significant shake up in the standings here after today - particularly in the mid-range:
#3 Herons could tumble to #8...Actually ended at #9
#4 Sandpaws could slide to #9...#5
#5 Hoot Owls might slip to #6...#2
#6 Ipswich could jump to #4...#3
#7 Rednecks could cling to #7...#7
#8 Pups could claw their way to #5...#8
#9 Gerbils could drop to #11...#12
#10 Tubas could blast their way to #3...#6

@realjohnboy,
Well you got some of it right.

The Owls are pretty unpredictable though. Short squatty birds tend to be that way.

@Foxfyre,
Yes, I felt it precisely while I was home at my computer seeing how the Baseball Fantasy Week ended.
Went to the backyard with wife and daughter to wait for it to end.
But 6.0 is quite manageable over here.

Would have made top news, but the flu epidemic buries everything.

Sure glad all is well, but the flu epidemic is something. Stay well!
