@realjohnboy,
well, if we can talk here not about baseball but about herons and owls, I can post this to Osso. On one of the economics threads I follow was a list of 10 companies likely to disappear this year. I can not vouch for the source: Eddie Bauer, Borders Books, Old Navy (owned by Gap), and then an old name familiar to me and Osso: Architecture Digest magazine.
Osso is a retired architect and I know enough about the topic to be mildly dangerous. I learned a lot from the well written articles that even an amateur like me could understand. And great photograhy to boot.

Not a lot of games tonight, but a number of them PPD. If you have any SP, adjust your schedules for Tuesday.

@realjohnboy,
Off topic of the thread, of course.. I've thought occasional chat was ok in dull periods, and besides it's fun unless we get carried away. We can be seriouser on the yahoo site.

On Arch Digest, it's the magazine we (design ptnr and I) loved to hate. Basically designer advertising in fulgent color. Nary a wimper of anyone not liking anything in decades of letters to the editor. Rarely a home that seemed to have any even slightly opened books.. I mean ever, not just for the photo. But, dang, I'd miss it existing for me to rail against. We used to read it, when it showed up, at lunch or with a wee glass of wine between work and her going to the stables and me going home. It helped us hone just what we appreciated and didn't, and explain just why so or not. We usually liked at least one place in the whole magazine, but might differ about that choice. Eh, I learned a lot from it, one way or another.

And yeh, many great designers, and much excellent photography. I still have a bunch of saved tearouts.

@ossobuco,
A bit of news on Xavi Nady - well, that's what I call him - a favorite of mine. Rehab sans surgery - wish him well.

@ossobuco,
Yeah mine did too. She just sort of left out the 'how many of them there would be' part.

@Foxfyre,

Hey, Rapper, you're up to .214 now. Could be worse.

My problem is that I follow this stuff on the cbs game center. It's addictive. On the other hand, it's a reward for getting the dishes done.

By my calculation there could be a significant shake up in the standings here after today - particularly in the mid-range:
#3 Herons could tumble to #8
#4 Sandpaws could slide to #9
#5 Hoot Owls might slip to #6
#6 Ipswich could jump to #4
#7 Rednecks could cling to #7
#8 Pups could claw their way to #5
#9 Gerbils could drop to #11
#10 Tubas could blast their way to #3

@fbaezer,
This is not the appropriate forum perhaps, fbaezer, but can you write about the mood in Mexico City today?

Looking at your roster, I hope it involves a SS.
