I have a pitcher with a 40.5 ERA. Anybody interested in a trade?

I'll see your 40.5, and raise you a 72.0. Good grief!

RJB, you may have your Wang back.

Well, the Gerbils have started off like they did last week..........but fizziled out in the end. Fox makes it sound like I'm old and gray and very picky about what I eat. Heck far...........I'll eat about anything, except liver. That stuff would gag a maggot! My Daddy taught me when I was very young not to eat fish bait!
What I like on my cake...........diamonds and rubies are nice.

@ossobuco,
Oooh, I'll riff too -

Premiata Forneria M - fbaezer who is from Mexico City. I have never liked him. I've always liked him. He's superb with analysis if he gets into it.

Firefighters - MysteryMan from W Ky. He is a truck driver/volunteer fireman and, as we are learning, knows baseball.
good man, no dummie, major helpful

Desert Sandpaws - Ossobuco -Retired landscape architect now in NM. Plays in every fantasy game.that's me, and I don't do basketball or hockey, wait a few years. I'm fairly loud. Just yammer back.

Hoot Owls - Foxfyre, also from NM. Her boy friend, the Gerbils, is much younger.If that's true, we have something in common, re age stuff.

Rappin' Rednecks - RealJohnBoy is the epitome of the Virginia gentleman. Incredibly smart and if you squint real hard, not bad looking.Urbane countryman, good raconteur, observant, even about baseball

The Tubas - Gargamel. Him I don't know.I know him, one of the bright brains here, usually veiled by irony

The Bay Herons - Alex240101. Upstate NY and I thought I remembered in academia. I may have that totally wrong.
smart, caring, likes food

Ipswich Stable Hands - George and Rhys. Boston. He was my driver when I visited. Chinese/Irish or something like that. IT guy. Rhys is his son.
George is a stealth fantastic writer. He hides it under a bushel, in this case the main exercise thread. Serious man, I never not read his posts

Boston Skinny Pups - Jespah is one of the brains behind A2K.
Jespah is probably the funniest person on all of a2k ever, though she doesn't flash it all that much. She has/had a few peers, that's true.

Geriatric Gerbils - ElStudHoncho - his birthday is Wednesday. His girl friend, much younger, is Foxfyre.
Which is it, younger or older?
Birthday good wishes

The Lushies - Pantalones is the other player here from Mexico. Tijuana, if I recall correctly.
Pantalones, aka Pants, is an a2k stallwart. First here under another nom de plume, we've watched him go through college and spend time in Italy. I'm a big Pants fan, however his baseball seasons go.

Ticomaniacs - Ticomaya is, I think, in AZ. He thinks he knows sports and will be quick to tell you about how many fantasy trophies he's won...most of which is fantasy.
He's also quick to advise you wrongly. Such a cutie. But past that, incredibly helpful.

Can of Corn - JpinMilwaukee has set up numerous Fantasy games for us. He is, I think a grad student.
Much appreciated and a busy guy. He often does well in the games. We'll see.

Skoalmen - McGentrix I don't know about. I think he is from the mid-west; I could be totally wrong.
I don't know that he is from the midwest. I do know he is savvy re baseball, or at least semi savvy.

@ossobuco,
McGentrix, if I remember right, is in southern-ish California. But I'm somewhat seasoned--though not quite as old as ElStud--so the memory isn't what it used to be. We're both still young at heart though. We spent Easter afternoon playing Chicken Foot.

I'm not sure where Jes and Regis are from and I don't know much about Gargamel at all except he's funny as the dickens.

No spelling police on A2K. Otherwise most of us would have been thrown out long ago.

My batters seem to be suddenly propelled by bunny rabbits wielding batteries, big numbers, and my pitchers have all gone to hell.

Woe is me, but not as much woe as if no one could find a bat.

Oh, and now Wellemeyer is suddenly being Mr. Control.
Rolls eyes. All last year I waited for him to shape up.

McGentrix is from up-state New York, which those of us from the midwest do not consider to be "mid-west."

Reg and I are transplanted Noo Yawkahs, now in Bahstin. We've lived here since '95 which makes it, I think, the longest I've lived anywhere (I've spent time in many major Northeast cities). I have more of a Philly accent than anything else, though. Get me very tired and you'll hear Lun Guyland. Ai yi yi.

I'm in IT, I do database reporting, data security and data loading, AKA an exceptionally mind-numbing job that gives me 'Net access and little supervision. Wink See the Dispatches topic, I may be writing about The Tongue again soon. Hmm.

PS Thanks for the plugola, osso. Embarrassed I greatly appreciate that.

Yep. Upstate NY. Not to be confused with southern California or midwest at all.

I was savvy with baseball during the 80's. Now I am just trying to not have the training wheels on anymore.

I am the IT department for a medium sized business so I get to dictate internet time for others.... mmmm.... power....

@McGentrix,
Ah sorry about that McG. But now I have to completely reposition you in my head. No worries. I can do that. We have all the internet time we can handle though. Smile

It is interesting knowing more about you other folx.

ElStud and I supplement semi-retirement income by running a very small business out of our home doing insurance underwriting inspections and premium audits. He was a career all lines adjuster--I did that for awhile too but mostly a bunch of other stuff over the many years now.

We're in Albuquerque NM -- in this area for going on 25 years now -- and joined here by Osso a few years ago. Formerly from Kansas, Texas, other places in New Mexico, and a brief sojourn to West Virginia.

@ossobuco,
Hey....thanks, Osso! Also appreciate the low count in candles. If it had enough candles for my age I certainly wouldn't bend over that close to blow them out!
