Sure you could if you really cared. There are bus stations in LA that take people to MO.

(You're giving Missourians a bad reputation, imo. Show Me doesn't mean "knock me over the head repeatedly with the obvious and I might get it.")

@squinney,
I'm not so sure about this, Squinney. We might end up with a new version of Thelma & Louise.

Google it. It's a movie.

I think you should take her in and then go to anger management classes with her. You both seem to need it and you might be good support for each other.

I echo everyone else's sentiments about the inappropriateness of her actions and cannot believe you sympathize with her. If you want something badly enough (keeping your job), you act in a manner that ensures you get it. What she did was asinine. What gives her the idea that that was acceptable behaviour - from anyone in any situation??? You guys both seriously need help.

@dirrtydozen22,
It's a very good movie about two women who go on a road trip after they shoot someone. I think it came out about a year after you were born. Here's the review page:

Thelma & Louise is a 1991 American road movie which breaks with tradition by featuring two female leads. Directed by Ridley Scott and written by Callie Khouri, the film's plot revolves around Thelma and Louise's escape from their troubled home lives. It stars Geena Davis as Thelma, and Susan Sarandon as Louise, and co-stars Harvey Keitel as a sympathetic detective trying to trace them as they go on the run and become outlaws. Michael Madsen plays Louise's boyfriend and Christopher McDonald plays Thelma's controlling husband. Brad Pitt (in his first significant role in a major Hollywood film) plays a parolee robber who befriends Thelma on the road.

@Mame,
tnx God I only punched the pole at the fitting room and banged my head into it, even if it's in front of customers lol. (yes i DID bang my head into it. Just too embarassed to admit it b4.) At least I didn't physically assault anyone, something I would NEVER do no matter what. That's just disturbing. tnx God we're both not in the slammers or the loony bin cuz that be very possible then. some state law crap about indecent public behavior.

@Green Witch,
Yeah and when you do go do the Thelma and Louise thingy - go west - we don't take kindly to your kind here in the east coast.

@dirrtydozen22,
Your job as an employee of a retail store is to maintain an environment in which customers feel safe, comfortable, and inspired to buy whatever you offer that they might need, and, if in sales, provide whatever assistance they need to find or choose what they need. Your job does not include making them feel uncomfortable or anxious or scare the **** of them or to make your coworkers anxious or uncomfortable so that they are distracted from doing the job they were also hired to do. And to assault a customer or coworker in any manner is not tolerable under any circumstances and deserves no sympathy of any kind.

@dirrtydozen22,
Yeah it is a real shame that it is expected that adults act decent. What a crock having a law about it where one might have to take ownership for one's behaviour.

@Linkat,
Most adults should be expected to govern themselves with maturity. However, some of us have emotional intelligence of a child. In that case, cut us some slack as we TRY to grow up. If ppl with low IQ could have their own income (I had a coworker in maintenance like that) maybe ppl with low EQ should too. They have EAP (employee assistance program) and **** like that.

@dirrtydozen22,
Why not just pick jobs where you don't have to work with others? Walk dogs. Mow lawns. Take in laundry and ironing. Or find a salaried position where you work in a room by yourself, you don't have to interact with anybody, and are dependent on nobody else to do your job.

Or you might try learning to adjust your EQ to something more acceptable. So long as you see yourself and others like you as the victim who deserves to be accommodated and/or compensated, nothing much good is likely to change for you.

No. Actually I wouldn't trust any living thing with somebody who makes excuses for his/her temper instead of taking the necessary steps to control it.

@dirrtydozen22,
So you should be allowed to assault others?

Sorry then if you are a danager to society, then maybe a nuthouse is appropriate for you.

I have little tolerance for some one that says it is ok to harm another - if you are incapable of controlling yourself from harming others, then you should be given help, but removed from contact from others that could be harmed.

I ain't say nothing about it's ok to harm others. It's not. All I said is that ppl with low EQ should stop being made outcasts bc that kinda life ain't cool.

@dirrtydozen22,
And by the way, I have a 10 year old child and a 6 year old. They know that it isn't ok to have outbursts like you have described. So don't say anything about the emotional control of a child. You sound more like you have the emotional control of a toddler.

Again if you have issues get help or else you are going to keep having problems. Society doesn't have to adjust for you - you need to adjust to society.

@Linkat,
which outburst? mine or that other girl in L.A.?

wait it prolly don't matter. Both r wrong as hell anyway. and ur right. I took an EQ test online and scored a 30. At age 20, that prolly is an emotional control of a 6 y/o. how sad.

My sister had anger issues her whole life and they kept getting worse. She finally got a diagnosis of thyroid trouble. Since she's `gotten thyroid medicine she's been pleasant as can be! Tell the kid to see a doctor.
