OK. I'll go first, if you like:
Some of you will know (from another thread here) that my mother was placed in an aged care facility earlier in the year. And that "relations" with my sister (who took "liberties" with her finances while they lived together for a while) are somewhat strained ....
So I've been wondering how the hell we "celebrate" this time?
Well it turns out that the facility holds an Christmas dinner/lunch each year & that each person there can have a maximum of two guests attending. So (being one of the two. My sister will not be attending.) I think I have a rather unusual Christmas day in store! For starters, it'll involve 5+ hours of travel there & back (it's in country Victoria). Apart from that, I have an open mind on what to expect. I think that may be the best way to go!
