@Arella Mae,
Funny also on this show - they stated there was more viewing of this trial than the OJ so seems interest is high.

I haven't watched, just read up on some highlights.

I wish Debra Law would show up. I'd really like to hear her views on this. Most everyone I talk to believes Casey is guilty but not everyone believes it was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. I cannot imagine how hard it must be for everyone involved to be waiting on that verdict.

The jury has reached a verdict. Court will convene at 2:15pm EST to announce it. They came back pretty quickly but I won't even guess what that might mean.

@djjd62,
Did you watch any of the trial? Everyone I talk to believes she is guilty and most want to see her fry for it. I think she did it but I could not, if I was on that jury, say I believed it beyond a reasonable doubt.

@Arella Mae,
followed on line, i'm not sure what to think, it seems pretty obvious that the little girls death was a relief to her, she obviously wanted to live a very different life

i think she was involved in the child's death, but it was an accident (ie she drugged the child so she could go out, and the child died)

i'm thinking second degree murder would be an appropriate charge, and hopefully some beatings in prison to follow

@djjd62,
For a long time I really thought it may have been accidental too but the chlorform searches and the duct tape over her mouth and throwing her whole family under the bus the way she did changed my mind. I guess we will know in a few minutes. I am just glad I am not in the position of anyone involved. So many lives were ruined by this.

NOT GUILTY????????? So basically, the only thing she was convicted of was lying????????? No justice for Caylee as I can see.

@Arella Mae,
Yeah at the most she will get a year in jail.

Makes me cry for the little girl.

Oh and just avoid Nancy Grace as she will be up in arms.

Incredible.

A two year old girl died, was stuffed in a bag and thrown in the woods.

Whether it was an accident or not, watching her mother giggling like a school girl has turned my stomach.

The only positive thing to consider is that most of the world thinks she is guilty, and she now has a very recognizable face.

The judge could let her off with time served, but if he does, I wouldn't want to be with her when she goes out in public and is recognized.

A small price to pay for killing your child, but that could be all she gets.

@Finn dAbuzz,
In would be curious (if we ever find out) what the jury's reasoning is....I mean I could understand perhaps not first degree, but how could it not be 2nd degree or some other serious charge - like whatever you are charged with when you drive around for days with a dead body in your car.

@Linkat,
The jury is going to be addressing the verdict. If you go to cnn.com there is a link there. The chairs are all set up for them. Jose Baez (who will now be able to demand big bucks) just got finished thanking everyone. I am curious to hear the jury's reasoning so I am logged on and waiting.

@Linkat,
They just announced the jury has declined to make any comments. So we are all going to be in the dark it seems. Lots of people are not going to be happy. The five alternates are going to be spoken to shortly and they may decide to speak but I doubt it.

@Arella Mae,
That stinks. I can understand from their point of view in a sense. I mean, if they are reasonable people, this could not be easy for them. I read what the various charges were - I cannot believe that they did not say guilty for child abuse even....I would think duck tapping a child's mouth would be child abuse- thought the prosecution prove that fact at least.

@Linkat,
I agree. I am in shock. My husband was totally speechless when I told him. I can understand the jurors wanting some time and all because they were sequestered but surely they know the world out here wants to know WHY??????????

The prosecution doesn't want to answer questions? What is going on here?

i'm not overly surprised, the circumstantial evidence was huge, but the direct proof was lacking

hoping the judge gives her jail time for the lying and some possible beatings could still occur

@Cycloptichorn,
Robert Kardashian did not represent Simpson at the murder trial. Kardashian has stated in interviews that in his opinion the blood evidence seemed to confirm Simpson's guilt.

@djjd62,
I'm the biased one here, I didn't like her at all, at all, thus self recusing even about trial watching. But, I don't really want her beaten, etc., even in jest. I'm no psychiatrist, but this might be a time I might like to be a fly on the wall psychiatrist.
