I won't get mine for a while yet -- probably another week or two. Will be a real one! (Just posted something on the blog about real vs. faux trees -- researched and justified my preference for real!)
The cool thing is we got ours from a local guy who has his own little farm. His entire stock was there when we got ours so not only are we getting a cool tree we're supporting our local farmers!

@sozobe,
Sounds like I need to get yet another soluble lead test kit from Home Depot....

We have the before picture, so we will be waiting for the after shot. Has Bailey made a present under it yet?
We get a real tree, plus put up a fake that I bought one year as a joke. I also dug up two 4' tall white pine trees from under the power line going into my cabin, and we have those in big pots by the front door (about every 7 years, the power company chops down everything under the line, so I use it as my personal tree nursery - whatever grows is fair game).

@Green Witch,
No, thank god! LOL He's actually being pretty good about it all.
We won't be really decorating it much this year....too afriad the dogs will tear it down. No nice ornaments or fragiles...which kinda stinks but I'd rather have them next year.

That's a fine looking tree, Bella.
We're getting our tree tomorrow.
We started having only a small tree on the bar, when we got Punky (Where Punky goes, nothing grows). But, that dog has settled down enough this year, that we are ready to try a big one.

We got our tree today too, and it's huge as well - about 7.5 feet high. I love
the smell of a real christmas tree, it's just part of christmas - a must have!
Hopefully I have time to decorate it tomorrow.

Turns out our trees do not have soluble lead.
Our lights, however, do. Of course, they had a warning right on the box....
