@cicerone imposter,
The pic illustrates—through hyperbole—the assertion that people reference Monty Python a lot; more so than they actually swear.

That made me laugh. I have an ancient cookbook that was printed in 1941, "The Woman's Companion". It belonged to my mother, she and my Dad were married at a military base in South Carolina during WWII. The cookbook tells you how to do everything, from planning a luncheon, a baby shower and also how to set the proper table, along with how to cook virtually everything. It also has a page in front mentioning that the recipes were modified to respect rationing because the War was still in full swing. The only difference between your photo and the one in my mothers is instead of a phone, there's an ashtray. I only noticed it recently......I also have a cook book published in 1908 that was in my grandmothers home...it must have been handed down by an older relative because she was born in 1908. It even has a few coupons for Gold Metal Flower.

False. No software engineer ever complains about having too many resources.

@DrewDad,
You don't live in my world DrewDad Smile

Part of my job is to shave milliseconds from messages sent between millions of embedded sensors and edge servers. Every byte counts. We strive to use fewer resources. Asking for more is admitting defeat.

The added mass of that glass increases ttl (time to lips) by up to 0.02%, not to mention the extra space taken means more diswasher loads per million uses.

Multiply that over 600 million glasses of water a day, that is a severe performance cost.
