I bought a pair like that when I was on holiday in Crete. After just two days they made my feet,literally stink like rotten eggs. I threw them out, I've never had a problem with smelly feet before or since.

I wear sneakers so often (I have at least four usable pairs always available)...and I think they cause stinky feet. The sandals allow the feet to air out...which is one of the reasons I now like them. My main objection to them used to be that goddam thong thing between the toes...which I detested. Now, they have stopped being flip-flops and have some structure...and nothing to go between the toes.

I don't do a lot of sneaking, well perhaps just a bit now and then. I think there was something about the synthetic nature of those particular sandals that did it. I've worn trainers before and my feet have got a bit stale and sweaty, but nothing like the smell generated by those sandals, they even stank after being put through a machine wash.

It's a trick. They don't include parentheses (or brackets), so it subtly encourages you to do it linearly, left to right. But if you know that ordinarily you would do the multiplication first (order of operations) and imagine the parentheses/brackets, then you get a different answer. In the way that it's written, I think it should be done linearly.
