DYS IS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL!!!

A request: No calls, please, for a few days. He is so exhausted and I'm tired, so we need a few days to recoupe. Emails would be just the things.

d

My very best wishes to both of you.
Sounds like this is going to be a demanding, not-too-easy time.

ah, the truth will out, I have been a total bastard for several days, snide and hostile attitude but I can walk almost 10ft (with walker) the hip pain is moderate but the blood clots in my left leg were over-whelming as has been the kidneys/bladder; I have cut my pain meds down to almost noting, the CT scan revealed a substantial history of strokes and the ultra-sound showed a remarkable enlargement of my prostate, i will start physical therapy (not covered by insurance)in a few days and I try to walk in our house several times every day; hopefully will be able to get my tomatoes planted this spring, right now I am very stressed and depressed but this too shall pass, I am hoping for a good nights sleep tonight and a bright sun shiney day tomorrowSally dog is happy i'm home and Dante cat doesn't give a ****.

@Diane,
Glad you said that, Diane. I was just having my usual self debate on that subject. I was comfortable having a captive audiance while he was in the hospital.

@Rockhead,
Cats have a funny way of punishing you when you deserted them, but they get over it and love you again.

actually this evening I'm afraid to go to sleep; for the past 3 nights I have awoken (in the hospital) in the middle of the night totally disoriented, no idea where I was or who all the strange people were, last night I awoke at 2:30 a.m. thinking there were 3 total strangers in my room (which was not in any hospital) the nurse found me out wondering in the hall-way and got me back in my bed and started me on Oxygen until my brain woke up. Today we came home from hospital about 12:30 and I laid down on the sofa falling asleeep, I woke about an hour later having totally peed all over myself. I don't know if I am experiencing reactions to all the drugs or I 'm experiencing major brain damage but I do know i now fear going to sleep, I have not eaten anything today so should probably have something like scrambled eggs and tea or something else equally easy to digest and then perhaps try sleeping in my comfy chair. whatever.

You may need to get a cylinder of oxygen for the short term.

@dyslexia,
Okay. I used to be afraid to go to sleep at night, too. Often, I slept in the recliner my sister sent. It gave me a different kind of pain than the bed.

Glad the rest is working without external help, but maybe it's time to back off on the Flowmax. I know, I know. They are going to jump on me with both collective feet on the subject of self diagnosis. So, let them.

Dys, when you wake up you will see Diane and Sally. You will recognize them and know you are home in the arms of those who love you.

Bob was right. Neither of the episodes he had in December were strokes. There was evidence of several strokes over the last five years, but the last two were, I believe, fibral myalgia. Bob can correct me if I didn't get that right.
