Agreed. It would be great if the losers of an election could always behave like a loyal opposition. In some countries, the incumbent refuses to leave office and there are tanks in the streets. We need to live up to the ideals of the Founders. I argued for my candidate up to the moment of the election, and now I'll support the winner. None of this stops anyone from arguing his opinions.

No, we don't have to make the assholes on our message boards happy. Our decisions about what to write or not write makes practically zero difference.

I said that in order to remain in the White House, you need to make the whole country happy. With this kind of post, you're only serving to make your side look bad. Four years is not long in the scheme of things.

I do see, between the lines, your point.

But if four years isn't a long time, why are so many conservatives losing their minds? Granted, it isn't fair to lump every conservative with the likes of certain mental-cripples around these parts that need not be named.

Excellent point Brandon, except that I don't think there are any losers.
Bush is working hard to make the transition of power go smoothly and
Obama went to work the morning after the election. Even though I do
not agree with the liberal agenda... Obama will be my president and I
will support him as best I can. His 4 years will pass quickly...

I just don't think it makes much of a difference in the long run what people say on internet message boards. And I'm not in some sort of competition to show that I'm 'better' than the right-wingers; Democrats have been on the receiving end of a huge amount of vitriol and abuse for the last 8 years, to the point of being constantly accused of being un-American and traitors by these mouth-breathers. I do not respect them, for they do not deserve my respect; and I banter with them because I enjoy doing so.
