I think you got the cart before the horse there. An Obama win can be explained (in part) by the collapse of the American way of life that is already well under way.
No. There is hope for the country as long as Obama is not elected.
My ship is sailing along just fine regardless of the outcome.

If things go well for the next president, it will magnificent leadership for saving the Bush administration's legacy. If they go badly, blame it on the previous administration.
This is the way it will be, regardless of who wins. Such is spin.

The explanation is that most of the print and TV news media are liberal (look at who they endorse), and if you throw enough mud, some will always stick.
