The following is roughly what I'd want for a rational settlement (as opposed to CW-II):

Country to be mainly divided along county rather than state lines; i.e. we keep most of the (flyover) land area, you keep most if not all of the large cities plus enough land adjacent to cities for any sort of hydroponic type farming you might want to do for yourselves assuming you can convert any of your wholly-owned voting blocks into something resembling Kolhozniki...
We get Washington state and possibly part of Oregon, i.e. reasonable access to ports on the left coast.
You get overland rail and highway connections connecting the three basic parts of your areas; i.e. no part of the blue area would be totally landlocked.
You keep the wholly-owned voting blocks including those imported from the third world.

That's the quick/dirty version of it; be thinking about what YOU would want.

This is likely going to happen in our lifetimes and quite possibly in the next few years. I used to think the demokkkrat party could be reformed or gotten rid of; I no longer believe that. The differences in perceptions are too big and they're not going away, ever, and no marriage this bad would last fifteen seconds.

I view democrats roughly the way I view Canadians. I can get along with Canadians perfectly well so long as I don't have to be VOTING against them.

Call it whatever the hell you want, it violates what I was taught and what I taught in gun safety courses.
No one in the NRA I grew up with would have proposed handing a fully automatic weapon to an 8 year old. No one in the NRA I grew up with would have allowed anyone to threaten others with guns even in jest.

Like I said the NRA has become the national gun nuts. It's no longer the safe use of guns. It's a bunch of idiots that like to play with guns, damn the consequences.
