@DontTreadOnMe,
Barry Goldwater:

Moderation is no virtue
and extremism is no vice.

The right will resort to extremism especially when losing as it has Barry's okay.

doesn't sound very conservative, does it.

there's a reason the republican party is all fouled up, and it isn't the "damned liberal main stream media".

it has a lot more to do with the walking contradiction it has become.

I think there are a load of stones unturned.

Plus the Obamaites don't apparently care when rotten stones are exposed.

But you aren't concerned with "Obamaites." You want to convince fence sitters and you think they will care. McCain's advisers think they will care as well. So why haven't they turned over those stones? Why do you believe that McCain (or Rush, or Drudge, or National Enquirer, etc) haven't turned over all those stones you believe are out there? Some possible hypotheses...
a) All those folks are secretly in it with Obama
b) There aren't any stones

Could the "New Party" be a stone? I think it is, and it is certainly worth turning over.

OK, so why hasn't it been turned? It's not like there aren't plenty of organizations that would beneifit by being the ones to show Obama's "true colors" to the world. Why haven't they done it? At some point, a logical guy such as yourself must come to the conclusion that if dozens of motivated investigations can't come up with something, then there isn't anything there.

I've been thinking about the "Obama is a terrorist" videos.

I've decided that these folks aren't confused about Obama; they're confused about terrorism. I've decided they have "terrorist" defined as "anybody who frightens me."

I think okie has admitted that liberals are so much smarter than conservatives that they can hide things in plain sight and conservatives can't find them.

@cjhsa,
No they're right. Obama scares the peewaddin' out of a lot of us not because he is a terrorist but because of the kinds of people he has surrounded himself with to get to where he is, because of his soft Marxist/strong socialist views, because of a naivete re the way the world works that stems from either ignorance/inexperience or dishonesty. I suspect a bit of both. The messianic fervor that he is able to stir up with carefully designed oratory that doesn't really say anything is also scary.

While I think a lot of the interviewees on those Youtube clips are just being smart aleck in the face of some pushy interviewer or just trying to pull the interviewer's chain, I do think some aren't making the distinction between terrifying ideas and a terrorist.

Clearwater - Frank Armstrong was preparing to go for a jog this morning when he noticed his Lexus " adorned with a McCain-Palin sticker - had been vandalized with obscenities and a burned American flag.

Armstrong discovered the damage to his 2006 Lexus about 8:30 a.m. at his Sand Key condominium at 1400 Gulf Blvd. Clearwater police and Armstrong said someone etched obscenities and "KKK" into the paint, burned several areas of the car with cigarettes, set the flag on fire on his hood and may have urinated on the vehicle. Officers and Armstrong think the car was singled out because of its political stickers, including one reading "Nobama."

"This is definitely a hate crime," said Armstrong, a 41-year-old physician.

Police estimated damage at $4,500. Police classified the incident as "criminal mischief/hate crime" and said it appeared "to be politically/racially motivated because the victim affixed a bumper sticker supporting the McCain campaign as well as an anti-Obama bumper sticker

This news article provides the key to Obama's terroristic propensities. He's off to Hawaii, where a cadre of Muslims will no doubt meet with him to receive final instructions before the election. How "convenient" that his grandmother is "sick." - edgarblythe

Florida (Reuters) " Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will leave the campaign trail to go to Hawaii this week to visit the ailing grandmother who helped raise him, an aide said on Monday.

"Recently his grandmother has become ill and in the last few weeks her health has deteriorated to the point where her situation is very serious," said Obama aide Robert Gibbs.

Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, who will be 86 on Sunday, helped raise him along with his mother, Ann Dunham, and his grandfather, Stanley Dunham.

Gibbs would not discuss the nature of her illness.

The candidate is canceling events in Madison, Wisconsin, and Des Moines, Iowa, that had been scheduled for Thursday. He instead will go to an event in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Thursday, then fly to Hawaii to see his grandmother.

He will return to the campaign trail on Saturday, Gibbs said.

Obama often makes references to his grandmother on the campaign trail, mentioning that she worked on a B-1 bomber assembly plant during World War Two. Later, she worked as a secretary in a bank and was eventually promoted to vice president. She helped put Obama through private school in Hawaii.

"Senator Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has always been one of the most important people in his life," Gibbs said in a statement. "Along with his mother and his grandfather, she raised him in Hawaii from the time he was born until the moment he left for college. As he said at the Democratic Convention, she poured everything she had into him.

Obama's mother died of ovarian cancer when she was 52.

how much ya wanna bet that a guy like that would go on vacation for 6 weeks if the country was involved in 2 wars, a couple of natural disasters and an economic crisis.

if he was a real american, he'd put country first and let the old bag die like the liberal scum she is.

he obviously has no values...

While I do not think Obama is a terrorist, the fact that Hamas has endorsed Obama could give a reasonable person cause to wonder.

http://cameron.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/04/16/a-hamas-problem-for-obama/

Also, according to the crawler on the bottom of the news this morning, Hamas is going to write a letter of congratulations to Obama once he wins, because he will bring the "correct solutions" to the Israeli-Palestinian problem.

It does make me wonder what the "correct solution" is.

@mysteryman,
And there is speculation, if this has not been posted, that Israel will take out Iran's nuclear facilities with a strike between the election and the inauguration, if Obama wins, because that will be their last best chance to eliminate the threat of attack on Israel, possibly with nuclear if and when Iran gains the capability, as Israel would no longer be able to count on an Obama presidency to back them up. This is possibly what Biden knows, and why he said Obama would be tested, and then says the man is made of steel, or whatever, which is one big joke if it comes to defending Israel. Most people that have followed Obama knows he will not be emotionally into defending Israel, no way. His heart will not be in it, this is obvious to even most casual observers.

@okie,
Really, okie, you gotta expand your reading sources. For your edification, here's some data on how Jews think about Obama/McCain and defence of Israel...

Quote:
NYU poll: Two-thirds of U.S. Jews back Obama over McCain

By Haaretz Service

Tags: Israel News, Barack Obama

A new poll commissioned by researchers at New York University reveals that American Jews favor Democratic presidential frontrunner Barack Obama over his Republic rival, John McCain, by a 67 - 33 percent margin.

The survey, which sampled the opinions of over 3,000 respondents - half of them being Jewish - also found that Jews as an ethnic group will support Obama by almost 30 percent more than other white, non-Hispanic voters...The poll was conducted this past September, when the gaps in poll numbers between Obama and McCain were smaller. Given the recent numbers favoring Obama, the survey's authors project that the ratio of Jewish voters backing the Illinois Democrat would swell from 2-to-1 to 3-to-1.

So, does this mean that John McCain is a communist and torturer?
