Last time, I got my audio from NPR and the video from CSPAN or CNN (in order to see the body language). I have pretty low expectations of seeing anything of significance happen.
I dutifully report that the state of Virginia has moved from "Toss-up" to "Leaning Obama."
I think it will be interesting tonight to hear how strongly Sen McCain continues to argue for a capital gains tax reduction.

For some reason I have been feeling a sense of doom when all indications are in Obama's favor. Maybe that's it. Obama has got to do more than just say "do we really need to talk about Ayers wright...he has got to slam it down once and for and all and then go and talk about how he has the answers for our problems we are facing right now one last time as though he has never made the case before as is not up in polls so much. We still have three week to go regardless of this being the last debate.
Think I’ll take someone else’s advice and do some laundry to calm nerves while I am watching it. It’s coming on.
I have no doubt that it would be a bad idea -- I'm just not sure if that will prevent him from doing it. He's shown a willingness to act on plenty of other bad ideas.
He really seems to be telegraphing that he will go on the attack, and I think he hates looking weak more than anything else. (And he'd look weak if he says he'll do it and then doesn't.) So I think attacking will happen, but I'm not sure if it will be the regretful, statesmanlike attack ("It's a pity it's come to this") or crazy-person attacking (getting into Obama's personal space, interrupting, bringing up REALLY out-there stuff, etc.)
I expect the former rather than the latter. But I do think he will bring this up (or, more hopefully for him, respond to a related moderator question). Certainly, he will be getting much advice to go there in order to keep the base motivated.

Debate begins. 1st question, your new plans to address the economic crisis - prices for each given - why is your plan better than the other guy's?
McCain is losing big time. His strategy to discredit Obama on a personal
level where McCain was deeply hurt due to Obama's negative campaigns
is preposterous. I hardly can stand him. He has absolutely nothing
substantial to tell us.
Funny how he stumbled to tell us why he thinks Sarah Palin would become
an excellent president, should something happen to him.
Yeah. I think McCain will spit venom soon. He shows his disdain for
Obama so apparently. Aside from his politics, on a personal level I find McCain repulsive.
I watched for about 10 minutes and during that time, McCain was interrupted by the moderator a very few minutes after he began speaking, to allow Obama to answer a charge he had made. I've never before seen a speaker in a debate interrupted to allow his rival to defend himself.
Oh please, McCain didn't let Obama finish his turn and interrupted with
his Joe the Plumber talks. Between Joe-six-pack and Joe-the-plumber, he
lost completely sight of what's really important to the American people.

Uh, Sarah Palin doesn't have a child with autism. Why does McCain keep talking about autism, Sarah knows about special needs kids like those with autism, autism this and autism that.
