@JPB,
What's your interest in this event, JPB? It's the evening of the 18th; we can eat sushi at one of our favorite places nearby beforehand -- or elsewhere if you don't like sushi:

I'm not likely to make it. As of this writing. My wife goes in for surgery on the 19th, and she will be doing certain things per the doc's instructions. She needs my moral support more than anything else.

@shewolfnm,
I'll only be there Thursday through Friday afternoon and then again on Sunday morning before I leave at midday. I don't have any idea how long a trip it is for you but it sounds like it would be a push.

Hmm.... thats right.
i was gonna share photos Smile

So. if you dont wanna see blood and guts.. you better go away

I got the doctor to stop after putting in the two tiny stitches to hold everything against my bone so this doesnt look like much.. but this is what I did

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3056/3101727765_98d43ae7e2_t.jpg

I still can not make a complete fist, nor can I just freely wiggle that finger.
The skin on top is bright pink and overly sensitive. If I bump it on anything I feel like yelling. If I forget and try to grab something really hard that causes me to bend that finger , I feel as though I am going to stretch the skin right off.

ugh.

BUT! its better. Muuuuch better.

@shewolfnm,
Two and a half. Come on, on Friday, but if I read it right JPB has a few errands before driving east in the afternoon for 90 minutes herself. Won't speak for anybody but myself and Mrs. Diddie, who will be happy to meet you on Friday, lucnh or otherwise ...

Hmm, I appear to have deleted the email. I'll email JPB to send it again.

Sushi is an excellent choice!

@PDiddie,
right, and I've seen Houston's rush hour traffic via web cam. It took our guys 2 hours to travel 20 miles at 5:00 on a Friday. I'll want to avoid that and probably be on the road by... 3 or 3:30, I guess.

I'm bringing a bunch of my supplies with me so I should be able to pick up the things I need locally with one or two stops in the morning. Friday midday would be great.

mac and pd -- you both have mail re Thursday night.

Everything is a go on my end. I'll be leaving here early in the morning and probably won't check emails before I leave. I'm looking forward to meeting/seeing you!
