After the candidates have made their respective positions known,
voters have a logical basis upon which to choose.

Debates, of themselves, do not make much more sense
than selecting a candidate by competitive footraces,
spelling bees, competitive weight lifting or baking contests,
because debating is not part of the President 's job.

The winner will run the presidency upon
his the advice of his counsellors, cabinette secretaries
and his own inclinations; debating has nothing to do with it.

@Bella Dea,
I'm interested in what she thinks now.

I think she was maybe being a devil's advocate (I think she even said so at one point) more than really being pro-Palin.

Extended video of the Palin interview, and it isn't pretty.

That was painful to watch!

@Bella Dea,
In case you haven't noticed, Lash is quite conservative on a lot of political issues. Letty, I doubt that she was playing Devil's advocate. But there's room for a lot of diverse opinions among us, isn't there.

It was painful for me to watch that interview with Palin, because she repeated herself in so many ways, the final analysis is - she didn't say much.

@Merry Andrew,
knowing lash somewhat i'd venture the opinion that anyone who attempts to categorize her is a bit of a fool but then, there are those who try to do the same with me.

I've never denied being a bit more than a bit of a fool, Dys.

Nor I. One even agrees completely with her pro-life stance, but not even that gets it done.

SNL did it again. Tina Fey as Sarah Palin is just priceless - unfortunately
she's also holding a very painful mirror towards the Republicans for having
nominated such a dingbat.

@OmSigDAVID,
What do you mean? Senator Obama has a marvelous track record--

l. Three years as a Community Organizer on the South side of Chicago. Palin has NO experience with minorities.

2. Three years as a legislator in one of the key states in America--Illinois. Senator Obama helped his constitutents on the South Side of Chicago more than anyone had before from his district. He was able to do this because of his intelligence and charisma. Palin has NO intelligence and, if there is any charisma, it has been concocted by the Republicans.

3.Three years as a Senator from Illinois. Any who searches the Internet can find dozens of his colleagues from the Senate who have labeled him as one of the leaders for the future.

Palin cannot be compared to Senator Obama

True; she has more experience, is smarter, a lover of personal freedom
and supports the Original Intendment of the US Constitution.

@Bella Dea,
What exactly is it which would be any worse than having Foster Brooks, Freddy the Freeloader, or Joe Biden (roughly the same thing) for VP or possibly President?

I keep thinking that McCain is going to say, "April Fools! Sarah Palin is not really my vice presidential running mate. We sure had you all buffaloed; my real running mate is _____ ____ and Sarah is running for Roller Derby Queen 2009."

Or maybe I'm just butting in on one of McCain's dreams. His nightmare is that she really is running with him, and he knows they will lose the election heavily.

Yes, we Americans may be stupidly impressionable, but, still, we're getting a little tired of Sieg Heiling.
